Oh wow. I don't know what angers me more, the fact that they blamed you instead of Tony or the "you're female and not as important as your half-brother".
I'm glad that you and your brother are hitting it off though. Good luck with the job hunt {if you haven't found anything yet}, it's getting brutal.

The job hunt is worse than brutal. I'm thinking of printing up flyers advertising housekeeping services and putting them in the neighborhood mailboxes. It has to be within walking distance since I don't have a car sad dammit.

It's annoying and wrong, but it happens way more than it should.
My cousin finally had a few flyers about cheap babysitting. She had I think two kids one time, but then the families moved. It sucks not being able to drive or have a car to get around in.

I've kind of been putting off this part... but I've decided it's time to come clean. I know people are going to judge me for this, but since everyone here is a) a stranger, b) a decent person, or c) both, I might as well admit it.
This post is the entire reason for this thread. I've just been working up the courage for it.
If you find a blank space, just highlight it... but you probably won't like what you read. You've been warned.

Father's Day weekend is what prompted this thread, and what's kept me awake more than a few nights.
Since my Grandpa was recovered from his latest illness (bronchitis, again) and obviously not going to drop dead anytime soon, he insisted on a family reunion. Doing it at my parents' house was my father's idea.
"Weekend from Hell" was what I expected, and mostly got.
So, Aunt Pat and her poor dog were there, along with a few of my cousins (Tony was absent, thankfully), some other relatives, a bunch of screaming neighborhood kids, about 50 lbs of assorted meats for barbecuing, and waaaayyy too much booze on hand.
By 11 pm on Saturday night I threw in the towel and went to my room to hide. Grandpa got the guest room, and Aunt Pat and her brood were in my sister's room, and Nick was supposed to get the couch.
I hand't been in my room two minutes when I got a knock on my door. Nick begged me to let him stay in my room, because the monsters were so jacked up on soda they were still running around.
I made him rescue a basket of DVDs and bring a six-pack of Coronas and a few lime wedges first. We ended up arguing the merits and failures of several movies for almost an hour before settling down to watch Captain America (second viewing for both of us).
One movie and four beers later, we started bemoaning our common singlehood, and somehow we
started kissing... then groping... and ended up having sex.
Scratch that. We made love. Half the night and through to the early morning while everyone else was sleeping off the party.
Neither of us slept much, of course.
Next morning we passed ourselves off as hung over. Aunt Pat left with her dog and her brats, Nick took Grandpa back to the apartment, and we went to work cleaning up.
In all honesty, I didn't expect him to ever speak to me again.
That Wednesday he texted me saying "We need 2 talk." I replied, and we agreed to meet halfway the next day.
We ended up at a McDonald's for coffee and a very long talk where we finally admitted the truth to ourselves:
We're brother and sister... and we're in love.
We both ended up crying because it can't go on forever... but neither of us is willing to give it up, either. It's right, even when it's wrong.
We agreed to keep up the pretense for as long as we can. If we're found out... we'll decide then what happens next.

Others may feel I lack morals but I say if it makes you happy then it can't be that bad. I just hope for both your sakes that your family doesn't find out. I'm in your corner no matter what...

You deserve this hedgehog for having the courage to say that something like these rants, especially your latest one. I applaud you for your courage in fact. Although, I must say that I'm not quite sure if it's "wrong" persay, I mean, it's love, love isn't suppose to be wrong, right? I don't know if that makes any sense, just my opinion, but again I applaud you for telling your story.
