Hi everyone!

I'm not sure how everyone here feels on the subject of reading fantasy novels. I know there are some who believe it's wrong, especially since words can have an amazing impact on the heart and mind, and even sometimes the soul. I however, find fantasy enjoyable, especially if there's a Christian underlying tone.

Anyhow, I've been approached by a company called Slimbooks for a story I was writing on a blog. They found me, not because of the blog, but because I had been talking to a college and young adult pastor at my church. His older brother is the president, and he directed his older brother to go to the blog and read it, after enjoying the five chapters I had posted.

I graduated back in December of 2011. In all of my creative writing courses my professors often told us that it would take numerous rejection letters from multiple sources before any of us would be published. I have not sent out a single query or book proposal. I didn't have any finished projects at the time for books. (I did send out a couple for a screenplay, but that one got rejected.) Anyhow, I have to say that this is a huge blessing from God, that I managed to get published 1. So soon after graduating, 2. With so little legwork, and 3. By connections through the church.

If any of you are interested in it, you can check them out at Slimbooks.com . I suggest you do, actually, they have a contest going on right now, whoever wins it will receive a free copy of every book they'll be publishing this year. My own included. My books release date is tentatively set for the 10th of September. I would really appreciate it if you would by a copy in support of a fellow Sister in Christ. smile

God Bless,
~Bridgette
