You will be given a certain amount of jutsu points to start your character with depending on which rank you start as. Use this points to exchange for jutsu for your character. For later jutsu, you will have to learn them yourself. these go as followed:

E - 1 point
D - 2 points
C - 3 points
B - 5 points
A - 8 points
S - 12 points
SS - 20 points

E-rank (Academy Student): Start with 5 jutsu points.
No S,SS, or A ranked jutsu.
Cannot learn sage mode.

D-rank (Gennin level): start with 10 jutsu points
No S or SS-ranked jutsu, and max of 1 A-ranked jutsu.
Cannot learn sage mode.

C-rank (Chuunin level): start with 38 jutsu points
4 max A-ranked Jutsu. No S Rank jutsu
Cannot learn sage mode.

B-rank (Jounin level) start with 65 jutsu points
8 Max A-ranked Jutsu. 2 max S-ranked Jutsu. No SS rank jutsu.
Cannot learn sage mode.

A-rank (ANBU/Advanced Jounin level: start with 100 jutsu points
5 max S-ranked Jutsu. no SS rank jutsu.
Cannot learn sage mode.

S-rank (Kage level): start with 145 jutsu points.
9 max S-ranked jutsu. 1 max SS rank jutsu
CAN learn sage mode

Academy Jutsu:
All shinobi get these if they have graduated from the academy in addition to jutsu obtained with starting jutsu points. Academy students receive them upon graduating to genin.

Ranking up
You gain jutsu points whenever you learn new techniques. When you have reached the minimum points required for the next rank and desire to rank up, pm a mod. If they deem your training sufficient, you will rank up. This is for letter rankings. Genin/Chuunin/Jounin ranks are left to the in rp village governments.

Characters can learn a higher ranking jutsu as long as it would cause them to rank up, so that the jutsu would actually be legal for their new rank. E.G. An E-ranked character at 5 points could learn an A rank jutsu, which would bring their total points to 12. Now they are D rank.

Cap
200 is the max cap on jutsu points that you cannot exceed.

Weapons
Items with powers must be ranked and are treated the same as jutsu under the point system.

Kekkei
Kekkei may need be ranked and still cost JUTSU POINTS. Kekkei take up points toward your max jutsu of a certain rank.

Basically if you are paying for a Kekkei already with Kekkei jutsu, the kekkei itself will not cost anything (i.e. kaguya). But if it does something extra in addition to kekkei jutsu (i.e. Sharingan) it will cost you points.

Twins
For those playing Sakon and Ukon clan, or for whatever reason, 2 characters that work together, half of your jutsu points, you can spend on techniques that both will share (only paying for a single technique once). The other half, you divide between them and spend on different techniques, so they have some variety. Academy jutsu will fall into the first half.

So, lets say your character is D rank and starts with 10 points. First, you choose your academy jutsu. Lets say that your shinobi is from Iwagakure, so you choose the 2 C rank moves, Earth Shore return, and hiding in rock technique which together make up 6 jutsu points. Both of your shinobi will get these techniques. Now, your next group is shared jutsu, which is half of your 10 points. You choose Hell viewing technique a D ranked move, and Hidden mist jutsu, a D ranked move. You have 1 jutsu point left over, which can go towards training for shared techniques later.

Now, your last category is individual techniques. You have 5 points to divide up between them as you wish. You could purchase Rasengan at A rank, give it to one of the twins, and give the other nothing.

Each time you learn a new jutsu, you must add it to the lower of the two categories (or choose if it’s a tie). So, shared and unshared both have 5 points worth of jutsu, you can give the next technique you learn to shared. Lets say that puts shared at 8 points. Then the next technique you learn has to go to unshared. Lets say that puts unshared at 7 points. Then, 8 to 7, the next one again goes to unshared.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Training:

70 words is equivalent to 1 jutsu point. Leftover jutsu points from your original profile creation may be converted to their equivalent word count and spent for training.

When determining your character’s jutsu points, count up the cost of the clusters + techniques purchased individually. To reach the next letter rank, you merely need to have the starting jutsu points for that rank.

Learning a new Element: 750 Words + Rank word count of 1st Jutsu learned with it.

For learning to use a new weapon/item, training cost is equal to half the word count for that weapon's rank. It also costs half of the training cost to create the weapon, though, not just anyone may create a new weapon.

For all jutsu and elements learned, you must have at least 3/4ths of the word count to where your RPC is actually attempting to learn the technique.

You may only learn a certain number's worth (see chart below) jutsu points worth of techniques per rank. So, you will need to go on missions as well in order to get enough jutsu to advance to the next rank
E: 4 jutsu points through training max
D: 14 jutsu points through training max
C: 17 jutsu points through training max
B: 20 jutsu points through training max
A: 23 jutsu points through training max
S: 30 jutsu points through training max

When learning custom techniques, they are the susceptible to the same word counts. However, all custom techniques must be APPROVED before you can start learning them. This is not an effort to be awkward, it's just something to make everything a little easier for both us and you.

Fluff of random words not pertaining to your training can be denied, if it does not look as if you're training.

When you learn a new jutsu, post a link to your training for it in your profile.

Triple S for me. I'm wanted; dead or alive. Being a Kage is not easy . . . nor is it hard. Just rather troublesome and tiresome. ninja
