((Alright! Starting up the Rp here with some Hellsing backposts from the old thread. Integra and Edumund are watching 'The Lion King' as they wait for a report from Alucard. Go. twisted ))
With said previews being a good five minutes in length and the blankets merely in a cupboard of the same room, Integra is back before they're half way through. She'd thought to pick up the remote as well, hidden rather back on the top of the TV. They begin to watch the film. She enjoys the music, it being some of Disney's better tracks, and is thourougly content to think about Africa for an hour or two rather than England.
I never thought Hyenas essential They’re crude and unspeakably plain But maybe they’ve a teeny bit of potential If allied to my vision and brain
I know that your powers of retention Are as wet as a warthogs’ backside
'as it oft is outside'? That's not what was said. Stop thinking about England and pay attention.
But thick as you are, Pay Attention!
Why do I think this song is going to be very interesting?
My words are a matter of pride It’s clear from your vacant expressions The lights are not all on upstairs But we’re talking Kings and successions
Hellsing. Edmund hinted...
Even you can’t be caught unawares
Be Prepared for the chance of a lifetime Be Prepared for sensational news A shining new era is tiptoeing nearer And where do we feature? Just listen to teacher…
I know it sounds sordid
Where is this going? This 'brother' sounds far too much like my Uncle Richard.
But you’ll be rewarded When at last I am given my dues And with justice deliciously squared- Be Prepared!
Be Prepared, heh heh, yeah, we’ll be prepared! For what?
For the death of the King!
Father!
Why, is he sick?
No, fool, we’re going to kill him – And Simba, too.
Uncle! Her stomach twists with memories, her expression one both disgusted and disturbed by how close these intentions paralell.
Great idea! Who needs a King?!?
No King, no King! La-la-la-la-la-lah!
IDIOTS! There will be a king!!
Hey, but you said…
I will be King! Stick with me, and you’ll never go hungry again!
YAY! Alright! Long live the King! Long live the King! Long live the King! Long live the King! Hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!
It’s great that we’ll soon be connected With a King who’ll be all-time adored!
Of course, quid pro quo, you’re expected To take certain duties on board
I wonder how far in advance Richard's cronies knew they'd be expected to murder?
The future is littered with prizes And though I’m the main addressee The point that I must emphasize is: You won’t get a sniff without me!
So prepare for the coup of a century
Coup indeed. Your actions, Richard, were the lowest our family has ever seen!
Be Prepared for the murkiest scam Meticulous planning; Tenacity spanning Decades of denial
Of the obvious and honest. Why didn't Father see it in you?
Is simply why I’ll Be King undisputed, respected, saluted And seen for the wonder I am! Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared
b*****d. Those weren't your ambitions to hold. Her expression is almost bitter in its accusation. Losing her Father had been hard enough, Richard had managed to tear apart any semblance of family she might have carried with her into adulthood.
Be Prepared!
Yes our teeth and ambitions are bared! Be Prepared!!! *evil laughter*
Her body is stiff, reflecting the tension of her thoughts and past.
As the song starts, Edmund thinks: Here we are... the main paralell. The song progresses and Integra's body language gets stiffer beside him I think she's drawing the paralells... Integra... His look for her is one of sadness and support. He holds her close. Find support in me... please...
Unfortunantly for Edmund, Integra is not one to believe she needs support, much less to seek it out. She watches wordlessly as Mufasa dies, her thoughts touching again only briefly on her own Father before shrugging the past from her mind. It was over, done, long behind her. As Simba runs through the dessert, the movie is simply that, a movie, once more.
I wonder what she's thinking? Edmund shrugs slightly and watches the movie, as Timon and Pumbaa find runaway Simba and as Simba grows... then Nala shows up, looking for help. There's a part coming up soon I think she'll enjoy...
It was a cute movie, she'd give it that. If she'd still been a child at 14, she probably would have enjoyed it just as much as Beauty and the Beast. With the change of pace and topic in the movie, she relaxes once more against Edmund. An amused quirk is on her lips as the romantic theme plays. I suppose this is the part where we're supposed to feel the first stirrings of 'true love'. She keeps the cynisism to herself, however, and is finaly caught up in the movie as Simba encounters Rafiki's hard stick and words. The baboon sounded so much like a combination of her Father and Walter. She lays a hand over Edmund's arm that she leans against. Edmund smiles at Rafiki's words and actions I love his personality... He's so goofy, yet makes so much sense. The mystic 'seeing Father again' bit is coming up really quick... I think she'll like this... I'm pretty certain she misses her Father more than she lets on... He squeezes her hand gently.
