And it was interesting.
The sketches were rather mixed in their appeal, especially in the first season, but, then, Ben Elton (by himself, anyway) has never been my most favorite comedian. (He and Richard Curtis are brilliant together in Blackadder, of course, but that's beside the point.)
There are some that are genuinely really hilarious, and there's even (what I consider) a long-lost sketch of Fry and Laurie's "crazy shopkeeper" genre, with Fry as the weird shopkeeper (this time, a tailor) and Laurie as his serious, bemused customer.
I'm also posting this because it's almost been a year since the last post in this guild, and I feel like it. So NYAAAH.
