Oldale Town is located in southwestern Hoenn. As Kyushu coincides with Hoenn, Oldale approximates with Saga City, Saga Prefecture.
South of Oldale Town is Route 101 and Littleroot Town. North is Route 103, which can be Surfed to use as a shortcut to Slateport City. West is Route 102 and Petalburg beyond.
There is little of interest in Oldale Town in the Pokémon games; the simple town serves as a checkpoint for Pokémon Trainers traveling between Littleroot Town and Petalburg City.

Marx swayed where he stood, staring straight ahead with Flygon's pokeball held loosely in his hand. He wasn't sure how, but just after he had got her back... back at the... the mansion... she had evolved. Not just to her next form, that wouldn't have been surprising, but to her final form. He'd been so startled he didn't know what to say, btu before he could, things just kept going. Of course, what exactly happened... it was all still a haze. Zombies, blood, screaming, pokemon battling, everyone fighting for their lives.... And his friends.
He stirred, starting from his daze and looking around. He was quite the sight, blood caked along the side of his face, the bandages Rose had used slipping on his face, soaked in blood, his hair a mess, his clothes splashed with dirt and stained. Somehow, though, he had his belongings, his pokemon all in their pokeballs, his bag over his shoulder. He was a mess, but... he'd got Trapinch back... he'd survived, and his pokemon had survived as well. But what about his friends....?
He stumbled a bit, but he knew he had to get his pokemon healed. They may have made it, but they were barely holding on, and they were exhausted. He was too, for that matter, but he needed to contact his friends, and stumbled towards the pokecenter, ignoring the obvious stares he was getting for his horrific appearance. He just had one goal, and that was to get his pokemon healed before he did anything else.
Picking up a jog, he hurried into the center, slowing as he reached the counter. "Hello, can you please heal my pokemon?" he asked, pulling his pokeballs out and pushing them onto the counter. "My goodness young man! What happened to you?" Nurse Joy exclaimed, her eyes wide as she looked at him. He finally raised his gaze to her, flinching as the memory of a much more grisly version of her flashed through his mind. "P-please, can you heal them?" he urged. She looked uncertain, but quickly took his pokeballs.
"Yes, of course!" she replied, quickly grabbing a tray and placing his pokeballs onto it, handing it over to her Chansey, and quickly moving around. "But you need to be taken care of too," she said, coming around the counter, "You look like you've lost a lot of blood!" She placed a hand on his shoulder, and started guiding him towards the back. He didn't want to say he wasn't sure all the blood was his, and allowed himself to be guided along.
Now that he thought about it... he was kind of tired. And hungry.... and... tired... His focus was slipping fast as she lead him back, and by the time she had told him to sit on one of the beds, he simply dropped back, and fell asleep.

Odale town. It was getting late, and Oliver was about ready to hit the sack. He sent Sheena, his new Poochyena to the Daycare to let her get a bit stronger. After that he healed his Pokemon at the Poke Center and prepared to find a place to sleep for the night. At the PokeMart Oliver managed to find a decent tent and sleeping bag which he strapped to his backpack. Czar decided to perch there.
Not too far from the center, Oliver prepared his tent. He released all of his Pokemon to allow them to sleep near them. It felt wrong to make them sleep in their balls. The three fossil Pokemon slept together while Czar stood awkwardly to the side. "Get over here." Oliver raised a brow, and then motioned for the lizard to come into the tent. "Don't worry. You'll join them eventually. " Czar glared, not wanting the human to think he wanted those other Pokemon around.

Morning seemed to come rather quickly with the sun glaring into the tent. Oliver rubbed his eyes and sat up. Sure, he wanted to continue his journey, but did it need to be done so early? He yawned and did a quick stretch. Czar was still sleeping soundly, previously curled up against the new trainer. The young man smirked before climbing out of his tent. Yuki was awake now, while the other two were also still sleeping under the shade of a tree.
"Good morning, Yuki." Oliver greeted. Yuki chirrped happily in response. The Pokemon was basking in the morning rays. "You're in good spirits, I see. Ready to wake everyone up?" A moment later, a powdery snow landed softly on all who was asleep. Xion howled as he awoke, while Andy simply shook it off. There was a loud screech inside the tent, and an angry Treecko exploded outward shaking his fist. The rest of the group exploded with laughter.

After the laughter died down, Oliver began packing up the tent. Czar stewed on a tree limb, watching everyone work together to get ready to leave below. As soon as the tent was up, Oliver pulled out some bowls and food so that the Pokemon could eat. Czar sulked down the tree and pulled his bowl away from everyone else. His trainer watched the little lizard. It hit too close to home for comfort. Oliver walked over to his new Pokemon, who shot daggers at the man.
"Having a chip on your shoulder is no way to live life." He said softly, but sternly. The change in his trainer's tone caused the Treecko to look up curiously. There was a pained expression on the man's face. Czar tapped his head, and then sighed in defeat. He scuttled a little closer to the others, but made it clear this was as far as his compromise was going.

Finally everyone was done eating. Oliver stopped back by the PokeCenter to say goodbye and thank you to the nurse, and then left the town. Czar was once more sitting on his shoulder as he went into Petalburg woods.

Teito, with Akira on his shoulder, rushed into Oldale. He didn't wait for people to get out of his way, but they did that well enough anyway. Running into the Pokémon Center, Teito released Litleo from the ball and carried it up to the counter, where he set Litleo down."It's hurt badly, and needs treated right away.""Oh, my goodness! What happened!?"Joy didn't actually wait for an answer, and ushered Litleo into the back to be treated. Teito considered leaving and letting Joy figure out what to do, but Litleo were part Fire-types. He wanted to know what happened so he could find and bludgeon the b*****d that hurt the little thing. So, he went over to sit and wait, Akira following him dutifully.

As Teito sat on one of the sofas waiting for Joy, he busied himself with watching Akira run around and look at everything. He had to be a bundle of infinite energy or something, because Akira didn't seem to be tiring out. Looking away from the Torchic, Teito spotted Joy coming towards him. And, she didn't look happy. In fact, she was storming towards. For a second, he considering grabbing Akira and bolting from the building, but he probably wouldn't be allowed back in if he did. Standing, Teito didn't even get to say a word before Joy slapped him. That...was a first. He didn't think any of the Joys had it in them."You should be ashamed of yourself for whipping your Litleo! I ought to have your license pulled! The poor thing is terrified!""Hang on a second, lady. I didn't--""Torchic!"Akira bolted over and jumped onto Teito's head before attacking Joy with Ember. He intentionally missed, though, but it was enough to startle the good nurse."Akira....""Chic!"Teito shook his head a bit before shaking Akira off."I didn't hurt Litleo. I found it like that in Littleroot, and rushed over here to have it treated. Do you really think I'd have come here if I had done it?""Well....I guess not. Forgive me for assaulting you.
