nitnit vs raijin - the end result!

I wrote this down in word as we played. Normally I don't do this, but Raijin took the time to make a thread, and get it pretty popular challenging me, so he deserved some attention.


I started with Starmie

Raijin starts with Alakazam

Starmie surfs – bringing Alakazam to the low yellows

He uses focus blast and misses

Starmie uses surf and finishes off alakazam

He sends out Gardevoir

Starmie uses surf

Gardevoir used hypnosis and hit

I switch out for gengar

Gardevoir uses dream eater and it fails

Gengar uses shadow ball, super effective, and kills gardevoir

He sent out Gengar

I use shadow ball and 1HKO him

He sends out Steelix

I use focus blast and 1HKO it

He sends out milotic

I use thunderbolt bring it to yellows

He uses ice beam, brings me to a little above half

Thunderbolt finishes him

He sends out metagross

Gengar uses shadow ball brings him to yellows

He uses meteor mash and kills gengar – critical hit!

I sent out Garchomp

Garchomp used Earthquake


Game over!


Final Result:

Nitnit 5 left

Raijin 0 left

Closing thoughts - Raijin, you have a really solid team, but, your strategy needs some work. For example, even if focus blast hit starmie, it wouldn't have been very effective anyways.

I suggest you get something really fast, or really strong to deal with sweepers.

Anyways, if it weren't for my gengar, I'd probably have not done as good!

Oh Raijin, one last tip -

When fighting starmie, don't use hypnosis. Starmie's ability is natural cure, so when it switches out it gets auto healed of status effects.
