I was reading twilight yesterday (for the fourth time) and I realized what sentence got me hooked. It's Bella's first day of high school and she's in the cafeteria.
Page 18, first sentence:
"It was there, sitting in the lunchroom, trying to make conversation with seven curious strangers, that I first saw them."
I don't know it just seemed kind of mysterious and almost seductive in a way. If you imagine dead silence and the words spaced the correct way... Oh I don't know it just was a good sentence.
