That's right, as many of you may know, I've been planning out an interguild wifi league for a while now, and now we need to discuss it.
ITT we discuss:
- Who'll be on the team
- How many members we want for the team - I'VE DECIDED 7 MEMBERS PER TEAM
- How to choose who'll be on the team
- Team name
- Anything else related to the team.
Current Rulings I have made:
- This guild will be a central hub for each guild's team members/represenitives to meet up at
- Each guild will be allowed to make 1 team per 250 members they have, if they have less than 250, then they will be allowed 1 team
- Each team will have a name
- Each member can only be on 1 team, regardless of which guilds they are in
- Each team will have 1 representitive/leader
- In about a week, I will be asking each rep. to meet up in a subforum I have specifically for this to discuss how often we play / rules / etc.
Current Set Up for the League:
Each week the teams will be paired up.
There will be 7 battles held. The Leader from each team will decide which member goes into which battle.
Whichever team gets more victories wins.
The winning team reports back to the HQ
We will keep track of wins/losses/etc. like in a sports league.
After a while, the top of the top will go toe to toe in a tournament.

- The Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Guild - Creating Teams
- The Official Pokemon Guild - Submitted 1 Team
- The nintendo wifi connection guild - Deciding
- The hikari wifi league - Deciding
- Pokemon Dawn til Dusk - Declined
- Pokemon Live - no response
- "#1" pokemon diamond and pearl guild - Interested
- Pokemon Unleashed - Interested
- Pokemon Mania - Submitted 1 Team
- The pokemon trading center - Interested
- Mount Olympus Pokeforums - no response
- Pokemon Frontier - no response
- Pokemon Sanctuary - interested
- Pokemon Trainers of Gaia - Declined
Accepted = Has agreed to be in the league
Interested = Interested in joining, but needs to ask rest of guild

what if we set it up so each guild has their own "Elite Four" teams of our top four battlers, and each guilds team could be named a League of some kind,
like for example ours could be the Promised League
as for picking the members we could have in guild tournemnts before the inter guild tournement to pick the top ranked members, or maybe we could have a system where the members on the team would have to accept challanges from members of the guild that want a spot on the team, if they get beated then they have to give up their posistion |

A tournament would be more accurate then, but still one match per luck can be involved. The most reliable way as I see it is a thread for inter guild records and then pick out the best records weighing the difficulty of the opponent they beat/ lost to so as to develope it not on number of matches played, but quality of matches.
Well 4 tournaments actually excluding the winner of each of them untill all the slots are filled. |
