Personality: Zuri is very independent and often pretty mischevious. She loves creating trouble, but nothing to dangerous or serious. She wouldn't put someone else's life in danger, instead, she pulls light-hearted pranks on others, usually those who wouldn't be offended by it. She is fierce when anyone or anything threatens her or anyone she is close with. She's not one that is easy to gain total respect or trust, instead, she's rather difficult. She's cautious and wary of others and things around her that may come off as dangerous. On occassion, she'd get a bit ego-centric and think she can do just about anything successfully. She's a dreamer, dreaming of perfection and power. As Zuri grew older and began her adventure to find her family, she grew to be more independent and mature. Her instincts improved as she began to try thinking more logically in situations to help for the neccessity of survival.
However, in her adolescense, after being reunited with her brother Nuku, Zuri felt no need for her maturity. Tossing her maturity aside, Zuri felt the only important thing is to have fun and live on the wild side of life.

My ma is, well, she's my ma! Since I've been born, its just been me, Nuku and her. I love her, she's my role model. She has some secrets that I'm not too sure about, but I know better than to force out an answer. She can be firm and strict on her decisions, but is always loving and protective of me and Nuku. She's the best mother in the world.

Nuku, my brother. We're rather close, even if we do argue at times. We love to annoy each other, but its always out of love. He is a ton of fun to play around with and awfully fun to tease too. Though I would never tease him enough to get his feelings hurt, I care for him too much do that. I made a vow with him that no matter what happens, I will always be there to protect him and he promised me the same, and I do intend to keep that vow, even if I was just a cub at the time of making it. I couldn't allow anything terrible to happen to him.

"Although Neus is a hyena, I still can consider him to be a friend of mine. Unfortunately, he told me he couldn't consider me the same as I am a lion. I owe him my friendship though, he saved my life when I wandered into the Elephant Graveyard as just a cub. He helped escort me home and really came to my rescue. Not all hyenas are evil afterall."

"When I first met her, I was a bit afraid, I was on my own again and scared something bad was going to happen to me. It turned out that she was really nice, a bit too nice and weak. She was afraid of me, in fact, until I revealed I was just a cub. It was pretty funny. She lives in the Pridelands and has never ventured out before, seeing me was her first time out of her lands. I told her she should go an adventure, its not good to stay in one place for an entire life."

I certainly made a mistake, a big mistake. I found myself lost, seperated from my mother and my brother. Who knows when I will see them again? I'm on my own now, on an adventure, but a young cub from the 'Sea Pride' helped me in the start. His name was Wacheza, he not only found me a place to sleep, but gave me a interesting fish to eat that was very tasty. I also went hunting for my first time on my own with him.

I lost hope on my journey to reunite with my family. I lost all hope and all motivation. I collapsed in the middle of nowhere on a scorching hot day, but a lion came to my rescue. The lion, Ekage, was also travelling to find his family. He brought me to water, truly saving my life. He is my idea own understanding of what a hero is. Ekage and I told each other what our families looked like, in case we happen to run in with each other's family. I hope he finds his family soon, a hero like him deserves to.
Ushafu, 'Friend'. - Lethrossen o]
Ushafu, or 'Sawa', was such a kind friend to me! I had met him when I was crossing past the Southlands and he had agreed to show me around. We went to a waterhole and had all sorts of fun. I almost had too much fun with him that I had gotten distracted from my journey. It was very nice to meet him and I could only hope that I could have the opportunity to meet him again someday.
Isipho, 'Friend'. - Crowfoot [o]
Isipho and I are really close friends. We met when we were both just traveling and we decided to travel togehter. I told her about my journey as we started to head to the Pridelands together to find my old home. She was really sweet and playful in a childish way, which made her so much fun to be with! She was a great friend, the closest thing I have to family on my adventure. Eventually, on the way to the Pridelands, we crossed through the Elephant Graveyard. We got attacked by hyenas there and were seperated from each other. I hope she is alright.
Taashira'kikuto, 'Enemy'. - PhiferWolf [o]
This hyena attacked Isipho and I in the Elephant Graveyard! She is such a cruel being! When Isipho and I were seperated, she chased after Isi. Oh, I hope she was gentle on Isi...
Ophos, 'Enemy'. - PhiferWolf [o]
This is the other hyena that attacked Isi and I. This one chased after me. It was a really scary chase, he kept biting at me as we ran. Right towards the border, he held onto me and scratched at my side. I got a pretty bad cut from that, but I ended up being able to escape from him.
Yen Ha, 'Acquaintance'. - Kimaria [o]
Okay, so we didn't hit it off too well together. This lion is a Pridelander, but none too happy about it. He thinks of himself to be so smart and wise, so sophisticated - but he's truly not. He's a spoiled brat from the Pridelands, expecting everything to be done for him and doesn't know a thing about survival. He's a brat, that's all he really is.
Tafari, 'Acquaintance'. - Silent Spy [o]
I met this bird in the Pridelands, he was up in a little tree. He wanted to know my story, so I told it to him. In return, he told me this really lame story about three brothers that had a really terrible ending. Nothing bad happened exactly, but the story just ended. It was really incomplete, a terrible story to tell. Stupid bird, thinking his story was so great. His story is nothing in comparision to mine!
Damu'mtoto, 'Nemesis'. - Silent Spy [o]
This...this terrible evil b***h! She killed my one true love, the father of my children. Not that she wasn't at all just to have anger towards him. He was in a relationship with her, I suppose. But she tried to kill me! Kill me and my children! I defended myself, but had to run quickly. I hope never to cross paths with her again.

 Adventures as a Cub
On Zuri's first night being out on her own, she encountered a hyena, Neus, in the Elephant Graveyard. It was a scary place, a place a young lion cub certainly should not be without heavy protection. Neus was kind to her and helped her escape the lands before she found herself in danger. Unfortunately, this experience did not teach Zuri a lesson on wandering off from her a family. ("First Night Out")
While outside the Prideland territories, Zuri met a lioness, Aurizuri. She was a member of the Pridelands and very nice, although a bit sheltered in Zuri's mind. She had never left the Prideland before, never gone an adventure. To Zuri, adventures were something important to her, something that fascinated her, although she didn't truly plan on going on one of her own. ("Meeting of Two Zuris")
One of the most significant moments in Zuri's life happened on one of her first hunting lessons. She was with her mother and her brother, Nuku. Churo taught her children how to hunt very well, although she did not want her children to actually kill the prey yet. Aftert the lesson, Zuri and Nuku vowed to each other that if something bad ever happens to the other, that they will do everything in their power to help them. A promise Zuri fully intended to keep to. ("A New Family")
Finally, these three events in Zuri's life collide when she mindlessly wanders away from her family at night. Her family was travelling east and Zuri naïvely thought that if she continued travelling east, her family would just meet her at the destination in the morning. However, Zuri did not even know where her destination was!
She found herself in the Bahari'mtoto pride's territory, also known as the 'Sea Pride'. She met a young cub here, Wacheza, who befriended her. Zuri came to the realization that she had made a terrible mistake and may not be found by her family. After taking a while to calm herself, she realized it was her time for a real adventure: a quest to find her family. Wacheza gave Zuri food and a place to sleep, preparing her for the long adventure to come. ("Stranger in Our Midst")
 The Juvenile Years

Zuri was travelling near the Southlands when she encountered a fellow young juvenile lion, Ushafu, or as he liked to be called 'Sawa'. Zuri and Sawa had plenty of fun together, playing in a water hole as they went swimming together. After their childish play, they realized that it was time that they split paths as Zuri would continue on with her journey. They split was sorrow, they hoped to meet with each other once again - they had such a fun time together. ("Alone for Once")
After meeting the young lion, Sawa, Zuri continued on her adventure to find her family. On one of the hottest days, Zuri felt weak and tired as she walked. She thought about the purpose of the journey, plaguing her mind with negativity as she purged away her hope. She collapsed to the ground, unable and unwilling to move, finding no purpose in it. Then a hero came to her rescue and brought her to water. He introduced hismelf as Ekage, a lion who was searching to find his own family. He inspired her, restoring Zuri's hope and confidence that she will someday find her family. ("Nomads")
While trying to get some sleep one night on her travels, a lioness named Isipho approached Zuri. The lioness offered to help Zuri find a better place to sleep, and as they traveled, Zuri told her of her adventures and her objective. The two decided to travel together for a while and eventually made their destination to be the Pridelands, where Zuri was hoping to find her old home, which would be a step closer to finding her family. However, they didn't make it too far before they decided to get some sleep. Within an instant, Isipho fell asleep, soon followed by Zuri. ("The Lost Ones")
On their journey to the Pridelands, Zuri and Isipho crossed through the dreaded Elephant Graveyard. This decision, rather unwise, led them to a terrible attack. Two hyenas attacked the travelling duo, causing them to seperate from one another. Zuri was chased by the younger of the hyenas around the Elephant Graveyard. Just as she neared the border, the hyena pounced onto her and gripped on tightly to her side with its claws. She shook him off her, but he left a slash across her side. Zuri quickly ran away, heading towards the Pridelands where she found safety. ("Oh Crap -")
In the Pridelands, Zuri spent some time to herself, relaxing and recovering from the event in the Elephant Graveyard. She worried about Isipho's safety, hoping that she would make it out of the Graveyard alive. After days of relaxtion, she had an optimistic outlook on her journey and tried to only focus on the positives in life. With this idea in mind, Zuri was soon able to end her time of recovery and go onwards with her journey, heading out into the Pridelands. ("The Recovery")

Zuri came across another adolescent in the Pridelands, this time a male. However, Zuri did not get along with this lion too well. At first it seemed all right, or at least decent. The lion, Yen Ha, tried to keep his distance from Zuri's company, but she persuaded him otherwise. He told her about how he dislikes the Pridelanders. When Zuri suggested to leave, he snapped at her. Zuri snapped back, very harshly at that. She called him a spoiled brat, which resulted in him running off on his own adventure. ("Just a Little Bit Older")
Later on in the Pridelands, Zuri met with a colorful bird by the name of Tafari. The bird was up in a tree, which Zuri tried to climb but stopped halfway. They began to tell each other adventure stories. Zuri told her own story, in return Tafari told a story about three brothers of royalty who overthrew each other until the wisest of brothers held power. Zuri didn't like the story and found the ending to be terrible with no real resolution to it. She grew bored of the bird and left him on his own, ignoring his lesson that not every story has a perfect ending. ("Adventure Stories")
Adultlife
As a young adult, Zuri encounted a charming lion who wooed her. She fell quickly in love with him and not too long later, she found herself pregnant with his children. But when it was learned that she was not the only lioness in his life, trouble came quickly. The other lioness found them and attacked, killing Zuri's lover. She tried to kill Zuri, but failed. The pregnant Zuri defended herself and ran away. Later, she gave birth to four beautiful girls. ("Big Girls and Little Girls, They All Want to Play") |

The Younger Days
Inja'amadube was not simply raised in a small family with few brothers or sisters. Instead, he was raised with other pups from other families in a small little community from a distant land. Inja'amadube always admired and idealized the values of stregnth, hoping to one day create his own community that focuses on stregnth, both physically and emotionally. Eventually, he found himself bored with the lands that he lived in, feeling restricted and unable to pursue his goals there. Thus, he moved on, finding himselves in new parts of Africa. In the early morning one day, Inja'amadube came across another wild dog. The wild dog, Chakelete, was upbeat and rather friendly to Inja'amadube and the two got along well and quickly. They began to talk about their lives and their futures, sharing their philosophies about how to live one's life. After mentally exhausting their minds, the two split away, hoping to meet with one another again. ("Early Mornings")
On a hunt one evening, Inja'amadube was surprisingly approached by a young leopard girl. Already frustrated by hunger and her interruption of his hunt, Inja'amadube only grew continuously more angry with the leopard girl until he finally lashed out on her. He was able to restrain himself from physically harming her, but he found himself to be uncharacteristically angry with another. ("Interrupting the Hunt")
Among Inja'amadube's lonely travels, he encountered a red lioness. Attempting to socialize with her, everything quickly backfired. She was a hostile and cruel lioness who tried to kill him in their first moments of greeting one another! Inja'amadube was luckily able to injure her and make a run for it, but it was definitely a close call! ("Lost")

Personality: Tafari is one who loves to get involved into other people's lives. Especially when these lives have drama or issues around them. There's nothing more that Tafari loves than to gossip or spread the news, meddling in otehr people's affairs. He always has good intentions and wouldn't tell anything that's meant to be a true secret, but that doesn't mean a few things won't slip out on occassion. Tafari is very useful and is willing for him to be used as a messenger, delivering messages to those far away for lions or others who cannot fly.

Zuri, 'Acquaintance'. - Silent Spy [o]
This girl had a beautiful story to tell me about her own life and experiences. When she was a cub, she found herself lost and separated from her mother and brother. She journeyed on her own for a very long time, for the majority of her life, before being reunited with her brother. She has not yet been reunited with her mother, but still has hope. Sadly, I feel that she never will be reunited, somethings simply aren't meant to be and not every story has a happy ending.

I'm not too sure I have one nice thing to say about this little runt. He tried to kill me! If I didn't set myself free from his mouth, I would be dead and digested! When I set myself free, he didn't even bother to apologize, so I gave him a few cuts and scrapes to teach this serval a lesson!
