◘ In regards to my item shop, I will not be re-opening it. The new rules and standards have been altered far beyond what I was hired into by the original owner and artist of the shop and I no longer feel comfortable or welcome in that regard. Please do not ask for me to re-apply so that I can grow your soa with their edits.

◘ My plotting circles are very small. My breeding circles are even smaller. The odds are I would really rather work within those circles and not venture too far outside of them.

◘ Despite the increasingly fantastical setting of SoA, my characters will remain natural in regards to orientation. I do not wish to engage in or interact with plots or characters who are played as being of an alternative orientation. It's something well outside of my comfort zone.

◘ None of my SoA's will join the following prides:
The spirit-bound, the amazon pride (neither of them), the demon pride, the demon hunters, the plague pride, the 'brotherhood' pride, any WoW concept prides, any prides based on giant fighting robots in space, or the voodoo pride. Likewise, as flattered as I am to get cubs, I would feel bad receiving any cubs from any of those prides. I like to try to keep lions within their birth pride.

◘ None of my SoA's will play surrogate for anyone.

So far undecided. I'm leaning towards having him serve as a messenger of sorts. Seeking out mortals worthy of blessings then contacting gods appropriate to the manner of blessing the mortal deserves and directing them towards the mortal. Kind of a 'passive' god.

God of the cursed is the polar to blessings, so just check with her. Rebellion and cubs are obviously overlaps with defiance and obedience is a polar to that domain. You may also want to check denial's powers in the god thread for defiance, just to make sure you didn't have anything too similar in mind, but if you did you might want to PM DFA as well. Otherwise, you're good to go!

God of Succession

Domain: Succession
Existing Overlapping Domains:
◘ Beginnings:
The idea of succession is that with the end of one thing, another begins to either take its place or carry on where it left off. This may overlap a bit or be something of a ‘child domain’ to beginnings.
◘ Choices:
Succession is something that does involve a lot of choices and decisions. It’s not a huge over-lap but I could see how it might a little.
◘ Rebirth:
This may be the biggest over-lap but it doesn’t conflict. Succession is where one other individual takes the place of another. The ambition or role may be rebirthed into the individual but the individual themselves is a new being entirely.
Physical Description:
Succession will be an ascended form of Taban, the leader of the Chokwe troupe. I want him to (eventually, a few metas from now) meet his end in battle (likely with the vampires or another hostile pride) and ascend into goodhood. He’ll look essentially the same, though his shoulder mark (seen in his adol stage only) will be showing and I may add a pair of firey wings to him along with a few more trinkets and a different hairstyle (a half-mane to keep his appearance somewhat cheetah-ish).
Concept:
Succession is a pretty big theme in SoA so I think he’d have a place among the gods domain-wise. When a king (or queen, leader, etc.) passes on and names a new heir(ess)/leader figure he will appear to oversee the succession. If the owners permit and if he feels it’s a worthy cause, he will bless the succeeding individual. If not, he’ll simply witness the ritual and be on his way. He’ll retain a place within Chokwe but as his domain dictates, he will decide on a successor of his own to take his place as the leader.

- I can’t think of any! He’s going to be more of a symbol than anything.

► Permanent Power:
“Spirit of Succession” - The newly named successor will be granted with a blessing that will assist in taking on his or her newly found role. This blessing will draw off of the individual’s predecessor, taking one of the fallen leader’s greatest qualities and bestowing it upon his or her successor. If, for example, the fallen king was known for being a skilled diplomat, the skill of diplomacy will be drawn from the spirit of the fallen and laid upon the spirit of the successor.

He cannot pass along physical traits or blessings bestowed on by other gods. He can only draw off of a single quality that the past leader possessed and pass it along to the chosen successor. He cannot use this ability on any mortals that are not taking on a succession role of some sort. (Father-son, mother-daughter, mentor-student, etc.)
