personality Safuma is a troubled little cub. Her personality is predominately kind and welcoming, enjoying a wild romp with her siblings but careful not to cause physical injury. A simple 'ow' is enough to make her cease play and worry over the other individual. She can be nurturing and will one day make a wonderful mother, but is not completely shy and demure in her speech. She speaks when is spoken to and sometimes when she's not, is slightly withdrawn around strangers, a mediator in discussions and curious given interesting situations. She's by no means ordinary due to her standing in the pride, but she is by no means extraordinary. Inwardly, however, the cub is torn by an extreme rage at her position as heir being stripped from her. She struggles with a need to be cold towards her twin siblings and parents, which would be against her own nature. This leads to occasional bouts of necessary alone time, at which point she'll become withdrawn and avoid conversation with other lions but especially within her own family.
On being passed over as heir despite her birth... The knowledge was not something that Safuma had tumbled into the world knowing, nor was it something that she had discovered for the first few weeks of her life. However, as she slowly came to understand the ways of the world, the little lioness discovered she had been denied something that was her own by birth. From the time she could comprehend her surroundings, the cub had known that Akida and Sarakiva were the heir and heiress. She had also known, though, that she was the first born. When two and two at last came together, it was a quiet and life-altering revelation. The sweet, gentle cub's heart broke as she struggled to understand the wrong that was done to her. The situation, however, was not widely discussed and her parents did not seem eager to divulge any information to her so the cub, after a brief bout of anger while on her own one afternoon, will swallow her pride and live on. She is not, however, content with how her title was taken from her and blames the twins for it. As much as she looks up to her mother, continual disappointment may eventually lead to disillusionment so that the Pridelands may one day become a prison more than a home. She regards this festering wound of disappointment and rage in her heart like a sore, despising it's existance but unable to get over the wrongs done to her.

significance Jua is named after the dog I had to have put down on July 12, 2007 due to cancer. He was one of the sweetest dogs we've ever owned, and followed my mom like he was attached with velcro - or followed me if she wasn't home. We miss him all the time, new puppy or not. Jua's name literally means Sun dance with courage, as the r/l Sundance lived with the cancer (lymphoma) for a good half a year after diagnosis. Jua's colouring, obvious, is not of a golden retriever/mix. He is actually referenced from photographs I took of Luke, the male lion at the National Zoo in Washington DC. I first photographed Luke the day we had to put Sundance down. Later in the day, I went to the zoo to clear my head and calm down. It was possibly the most relaxing and truly touching day I've had in awhile. So yes, needless to say, I have a soft spot for Luke now.

personality I had to tweak Jua's personality as I've roleplayed him, as initially he came off rather stalker-ish. I promise you, he's not! He loves to talk to others, or just generally be with others. That's not to say he's annoyingly chatty, but he does like being in the company of other creatures whether lions, leopards, cheetahs or hybrids. He also ADORES cubs. Jua is the type of lion to adopt and take care of any orphaned cub he happens upon, whether hunting is good or not. He figures that even if hunting isn't great for him, he can surely hunt better than any cub (and he doesn't mean that arrogantly). Jua is also generous, willing to give up a meal for another who is obviously hungerier, or hand over a mark he has in a herd to someone who is more actively hungry. He's also the type to help hunt for a mother with cubs, and those sorts of things. However, Jua does have a protective side. Once he's taken someone under his wing, he will become violent if necessary to protect them from any preceived threat. He's not the type to follow someone who's being unfriendly towards him, however, so I ask that all those beasts who are not friendly by any means to not apply. He would likely talk to them for a few minutes so as not to seem rude, and then continue on.

personality Shuj is a determined little cubbin. He very very much wants to be like his father in everyway, especially as it seems that he has inherited his father's size. It's difficult to tell at such a young age, but he already appears to be growing much faster then even his brother, Uchu. His large paws, however, make everything he does seem twice as awkward as what it might really be and so Shuj comes off as being quite clumsy! Rather then become bitter about his clumsiness, however, he just seems to work harder to outdo whatever damage his missteps do. Ever vigilant, he listens to every word his father or older brother, Njozi says and does as they do whenever possible. He adores his mother and would take the best care of his siblings possible, but more often then not as a young one he seems to get himself into all sorts of ridiculous trouble. Nothing harmful, at least not to anything but his ego. He's a good lad, though, and shows signs of growing up to be a real diamond in the rough considering what he's starting out as.

personality Gana is very sweetly hard-headed. She is as her namesake describes; like her mother in that she is bubbly and optimistic to a fault, though it has been untested by true trials. In the face of death, her optimism could be outdone, but as a cub she has yet to face such things. She is loving, especially towards her family, but is unexpectedly a die-hard daddy's girl. She looks up to her father as if he were the stars, the moon and the sun itself, avidly looking forward to the day she follows in his footsteps as a huntress. While not being possessed by the idea, however, she enjoys her days a cub to the fullest while her future hangs in the air like a faint breeze. Gana's stubborn nature, unfortunately, can occasionally get her in trouble. More often then not, Gana becomes so involved in investigating one thing or another that she may stick her nose where it doesn't belong (into another big-cat's dinner, for example). She will pursue a matter relentlessly until she recieves an acceptable answer or response. Being that she is so sweet natured, most will provide her with some sort of explanation as best as they may if they are asked, but Gana is very much a kinetic learner in that she retains information better by doing it or by figuring it out on her own. She has a tendency to poke at things, or nudge them with her nose, which can become aggravating if the "thing" or "them" is another living thing. Luckily, her family members avoid this treatment for the most part as she knows them well enough, but should they happen to leave her for a long period of time, she is likely to pester them upon their return.
Very much enabling her brothers in all their quirks, she will usually play or interact with each accordingly. For examples; attending Banda's tea parties, letting Camdyn trail after her (while making sure he's involved in whatever is being done), talking to Siki about the trees or even thanking the animal sacrifice before she eats it as she's seen him do - for politeness' sake. She's generally a sweet cub, but her investigative nature could lead to her getting on the nerves of some particularly bad tempered creatures.
Gana also very much enjoys to draw, or paint as she grows older. As a cub, she'll mostly draw with sticks in the dirt when she's bored. As she ages, she'll stray more towards primitive paints or charcoal on walls and rocks. She'll also become quite good, so long as she's able to keep up with it. She will also make an attempt to protect it, especially if her parent's haven't seen the work yet, but if someone were to destroy it she would assume it was an accident and continue on with her life. Unfortunately, bottling all this emotion up does lead to the occasional outburst of frustrated, wordless tears, but she usually ends up alright either way.

personality:Headstrong and determined, she is generally a kind heart but has a terrible need to prove herself to people. Because of her need to prove herself to Roho, she is incredibly conflicted as she doesn't really want to hurt anyone. A future kill or particularly bloody fight would definitely lead to a mental breakdown, though the outcome would depend on her age at that point. If she is older, she will likely run away from the Tononeka. If she is younger, she will probably slip into a sort of psychosis and merely do as she is told without feeling. This all depends on where she is in the plot by that point as well. She could very well end up Roho's puppet, if things turn out right.
how does she feel about the circumstances?: She is generally cold to her father, very much subjecting him to a mirror treatment. When he does decide to have a soul and slip them some bit of kindness, she often only grudgingly accepts it with an unspoken bit of gratitude. As previously stated, being treated as an inferior has merely resulted in her desperate desire to prove herself to anyone, but especially Roho and even Katavi. Puzi dreams of meeting her mother one day, of course, but she will have no grandeurs of escaping. She has pretty much resigned herself to this life for now, and she couldn't leave initially without proving herself to Roho first, anyway.
UPDATE;; At some point, Bellona, Roho's daughter, is going to 'kill' Roho and take over. Then she is going to grow bored with her 'subjects' and take off as well. This will all leave Kipuzi very much confused on where this leaves her and she will go off in search of Roho simply because that seems like the thing to do. I haven't decided if she's going to actually find Roho or not. |

personality ( from Chura's plot search, which Mshamo may be taking part of, haven't gotten an official yea or nay) Mshamo is a jerk. A low down, good-for-nothing meanie. Somedays he has good streaks were he might show some sliver of kindness, but they are rare and few between. He does have a soft-spot for cubs, that that hardly means he'll not stoop low enough to use them for his own gain. He'd probably steal Chura to impress a female with his 'single-fatherness' as soon as he figured out the cub wouldn't be able to tell anyone what was really happening. If there is one thing that can get Mshamo to do anything, it's a pretty face. He'd take advantage of her for her food or pleasure before anything else, but he is who he is.
He's just an a*****e. The end. He's only sweet to females (of any species) and rude to anyone else. He tries to tone it down with cubs but as you can see from the above, he is not above using them as pawns.

personality Tuli is rather laid back. On her own, she likes to chase mice, stare at pretty flowers and take naps. She also eats alot. Granted, she's a cheetah and has a high metabolism, but still. It's pretty ridiculous, and it's likely she's either hunting, just caught something, or has just finished eating something whenever you meet her. This results in alot of blood stained lips, but she shares her kills pretty readily. She's also very nice and a wierd mix of childish and motherly. For example, as far as rp goes thus far, she's about to take on a lion juvenile for a few rps (until she gets him to a lion who can better take care of him) and yet in another rp she's being scolded by an overbearing mother lion and Tuli is acting like she's a cub. It's fun. 8D (from old mate search thread)
Tuli is enjoying motherhood as best she can. The cubs were unexpected from a one-night fling with a friend, Kimanda, who fled to hide with the Nchi to escape the unexpected. Tuli is afraid of large groups of lions, so she didn't bother trying to chase him down. She's mad as hell about it, but any malice the cubs feel towards their father is merely got by osmosis. She speaks ill of him very seldom as she doesn't want to impart ill will in her children. She wants them to grow up well and find true love with monogamous mates. Even if she doesn't regret having cubs, she regrets not having them in a more stable environment. Ki will be coming back though, and stir up all that anger again since the cubs are now juves and she's had to raise six girls on her own for so long.
Ki never did return. Tuli's cubs have grown and gone on to start their own lives and the younger mother - still young, though so much older and wiser than the start of her adventure - has found herself undeniably alone.
