Ghosties and the Supernatural

I apologize if this is a repeated topic, I looked back a couple pages to make sure but I could've missed it.

At a Halloween party the other night we began sharing ghost stories, only not fantasy ones. But ones we've personally experienced. I found it amazing how many people have seen what I have also seen, and more.

So I ask- have others seen such things or anything related? What are your opinions on the supernatural and if you're up to it, please do share your own personal real life ghost stories. (Please no fictional/made up, that's boring.)





I've seen mine, I've even felt evil. A night I will never forget. It was night and I was heading to a park in my car. When I got to the stop light to turn into it I felt something was wrong, I didn't recognize the street, I asked my boyfriend over and over again if we were going the right way because I felt I had never seen anything there before. As we got closer and further into the park it only got worse. It was an overwhelming sense of sheer horror about to happen.

My boyfriend was talking to me, yet I could not hear him. I knew he was talking to me I just couldn't hear a word. All I heard and felt was the evil around me and voices. The voices were downing out everything around me, the oak and pine trees didn't even look right. I started to feel as if there was death around me, like anytime now I'd find a dead body or at least something horrific. Once I felt something seeming to poke at me, get close to me (it could be that it was trying to poses, which is what really set me off and snapped me into action to leave. I'm one that naturally absorbs energy around me so that makes me more prone). After those couple minutes I told my bf we HAD to leave. He felt something too but not as well because I'm much more spiritual than him. I turned my car around as fast as I could and got out of there quickly.

I could feel things fallowing, the voices didn't go away for the longest time even after being far away from the park. It was a different language of course, but like all spiritual languages you can feel the emotion behind them, they were teasing and taunting me. Even today I can't forget those exact voices.

The whole area around the park felt like there was a demonic convention happening. I never felt true evil until that night. When I got home that night I wrote a poem about how it made me feel and the emotions behind it. I felt a lot of energy and it made me feel, well, like I was going mad. Everything about that night haunts me in a trancing way. Something inside me enjoyed it a little too much, but nothing came of it besides the great amount of energy. I couldn't sleep that night, I had to be sure they went away, my cat helped me with that.

Well, it was a perfect night for a demonic convention. It was a full moon as well as a Friday the 13th. I feel like I don't know what to make of it entirely, besides that I now have a story and a taste of evil.





Another story that's quite shorter- one night after having a pagan circle I got home just fine and went to bed, and as soon as I laid down with the light off I felt something in the room. Just in that moment my cat jumped up on my bed and sat next to my chest in a very protective way. She never does that... I looked around and didn't quite see but felt a silhouette of something in my room. I couldn't tell if it was a friendly even after asking so I banished it away.



I'm so very glad I have my familiar, my cat. We're so connected and it's wonderful.

What you experienced is known to me. I won`t tell all experiences since there are many and most are very personal. I will share 1 of them. My first ghost encounter:

I was eating and it got cold and I got myself a cloak from my room. While running down the corridor I saw a girl running towards me. I stopped since I did not want to collide with her. But instead of stopping she RAN RIGHT THROUGH ME. I felt someone entering my body and then leaving me again. When I turned around she was gone. I told my parents and my mom told the story to a friend. And that friend told my mother, that she had also seen a ghost lady running through the apartment already for weeks, but she was afraid to tell anyone for not being percepted as insane. My mom believed me. I never found out who that girl was. Even later, when I learned about regular contact with spirits that answer was never given to me.

*smile* We're just connecting a lot lately huh? I've never had any go through me. I think my encounters have been more spirits of different origin than ghosts and souls. There's a difference to me...

Not long ago I had my one year anniversary with my boyfriend and we celebrated by taking a walk through the nice and big cemetery in our city. While we were talking I kept seeing silhouettes out the corner of my eye. That didn't happen the last time I was at that cemetery so I guess my spiritual vision had gotten better.
...is this a good thing? Hehehe.

Spiritual activity in my home town.

The Black Cat - A cat like shape, with red eyes, that can be seen looking into windows, particularly when parents are out and have hired a babysitter. Never seems to have malicious intent, possibly a guardian of sorts?

The old woman - Strange old lady, wonders up and down the back gardens of the houses on one street in the town. We know she is a ghost as she passes through fences.

The Bar Maid - Local Pub, walks through a wall (old surveys show where she walks through used to be a door). Unknown purpose.

The Friend and the fiend - This one is interesting... they both inhabited the same house, one was a little girl that befriended my little sister, if the front door was shut, and we were all in the room, we'd hear scrabbling for the handle, as if a small child who couldn't quiet reach. As for the fiend, though it may seem cliche, a voice, spoke in whispers and quite and said some very menacing things.

Phantom - Ever seen something like a picture fall off a wall? This is similar, happened when my mum and dad would have an argument, we'd be in the front room a few hours later. And a mask would fall off the wall and shatter at my dads feet... now the thing is... it would fall off the wall opposite him. (Damn things always freaked me out anyway, especially the brass ones).

The shadow - This one terrified me. Truly terrified me, in one of our old houses, I would be in the kitchen, always in this specific place and the light would dim, and I swear over my shoulder, I could see this shadow about 6'2'' tall and very broad shoulders.

Thats whats happened to me, this is activity my friends have seen.

The Deep Dark - A shadow, that would creep across the room, drawing darker and darker blanketing out all light, even that cast by the tv which was on.

Phantom 2 - A shadow would move across the room, and shake his bed violently. At first he thought it was his brother messing about but after running downstairs in panic calling his brother a rat b*****d, he found out, that his bro had been downstairs the whole time.

The Girl - Imagine the ghost in the montage of ghostbusters that hovers over the bed. Remove the eyes. When you look at it, imagine it opening its mouth as if to scream violently.

The Girl and the Police Officer - My friend heard something running down and back up the stairs, thinking it was his little brother, he goes to look. He sees a little girl, who goes to the door and opens it, to reveal a police officer, who then strangles the girl and the house erupts in flames. (After we researched it, we discovered that the house did once burn down and took half the street with it, but was later rebuilt).

Yes there are many different types of spirits from the good side and dark side as far as I know. It might be that your spiritual vision is increasing or you`re getting more sensitive. I think that is a good thing afterall it opens the mind to see and understand more. And if you`re a compassionate person gives you the oportunity to help.

Have you ever tried to make contact with one of the ghosts if you see one? Of course it`s just me but whenever I see someone lost or in trouble, be it a tree, an animal, a human, or a ghost, I try to help and make contact. I think one should try to make contact. Sometimes they don`t realize you, since they are somewhat living their "dream/reality" sequence and don´t know they are trespassing our realm, but some actually are glad if someone sees them and talks to them. Of course only if you feel in that moment like an urge, inspiration or calling that it is meant for you to help in the respective case. Just my thoughts.

My house is somewhat haunted, there's a ghost that chases me up stairs and there's a residual presence embedded within the walls. It's just feels disgusting here at night.
I know this must sound but I think can see spirits. For instance I'll be walking through my neighborhood and one second I will see a man walking around, I'll do a double take, then he'll be gone.

Weird I know...

I find that to, except almost every where I go, and its happened for as long as I can remember. Also I hear whispers, when ever their is a lot of constant noise, example the shower (mostly) or an untuned tv, I will hear not only whispers but at times laughter, crying, talking, shouting, screaming and once a gun shot (though it sounded distant). I told my father once. He told me i was crazy. That was the last time I told him anything.

Have you ever tried to make contact with one of the ghosts if you see one? Of course it`s just me but whenever I see someone lost or in trouble, be it a tree, an animal, a human, or a ghost, I try to help and make contact. I think one should try to make contact. Sometimes they don`t realize you, since they are somewhat living their "dream/reality" sequence and don´t know they are trespassing our realm, but some actually are glad if someone sees them and talks to them. Of course only if you feel in that moment like an urge, inspiration or calling that it is meant for you to help in the respective case. Just my thoughts.

To be honest no I haven't, but thats mainly due to half of them having sinister intent and the other half being reflections of the past imprinted on the present. So I don't see any point in making contact with them. If there was a spirit that did want to make contact with me, I doubt it would one of earthly origin.

When I was younger, not so much lately, I would always hear someone calling me. I'd stop whatever it was I was doing and go to my mother, but she always said that she didn't call. I still haven't been able to figure out what it was that I heard, and a few times I thought I saw someone, but when I turned to look, no one was there.

I've had two 'experiences'. One was a few weeks after my uncle died I could feel him around me. That was nice.
Another was when I was sleeping at my friends house. She always claimed that the house was haunted. One night I was almost asleep and I heard the bathroom door handle being pushed up and down repeatedly for a few minutes. There was no-one in the hallway.

It was when I was little. Me and two of my friends were playing hide-n-seek in the dark and I saw a white figure walk across the small hallway where they make a storage room into two bedrooms. What was weird was when I found my two friends, they were hiding under the stairs and no one else was downstairs with us and they had their dog upstairs. It was weird because when they came to see what I was pointing at, the white figure went across the hallway again.

My basement tends to be kinda haunted and as it turns out for awhile I ended up sloeeping down there. It was creepy - I'd hear things, see things (And I'm not the only one mind you that has.) when no one else was down there but me. Needless to say I haven't spent a night down there in quite sometime, it just started getting too scary.

Furthermore, a couple years back a friend and I got into some stuff that we shouldn't have and accidentaly conjured something up so we'd see things that weren't there at random times. On one occasion, a hand print was even left on my friends arm - one that neither her or myself had caused.

If you think me be insane, so be it. I've already been classified as nuts by the psychiatric community.

Anyway, I see people on the side of the road when I drive, some stand, some sit, a few are lying on the ground, but are only visible for a few seconds, do a double take and they're gone again. Basements are naturally creepy, but once I built up my energy skills I was able to find much comfort in sleeping in one for a couple years, despite the phantom shadows, the door that opened on its own and a family of scorpions.

Occasionally I see small ferret like shadows jump in and out sewer holes and grates.
