The white jester marked cub was laying upon his back with his head tilted backwards, eyes shut. His paws rested upon his belly rising up and down with each breath he took. Kabili was asleep under the shade of one of the trees near the entrance to the haunted forest. It was peaceful and most tended to keep away, something the cub was enjoying more and more so as time went on.
He knew they were leaving so...when were they? Had he been wrong and told his emaciated friend that he was leaving when he really wasn't? No, that couldn't be it. His parents were a bit odd but they definitely were -not- liars, they were far from it...Weren't they?
Kabili jerked up out of his sleep instantly in a sitting position. He lifted a paw to rub his head and let out a yawn before hopping to all fours and shaking his body out.
Why were things so difficult? Why couldn't they just be simple and easy? The answer was obvious to the normally mischievous cub. There wouldn't be any fun in the world if things were easy, maybe thats why he was so bored so easily now. He had nothing fun to do, nothing really motivated him any more, not even playing pranks on his sisters.
Heaving a heavy sigh Kabili started to walk around the border of the forest.

The dark, young cub had also been rather bored lately, keeping away from his brothers (especially Izulu) as much as possible. Adamu was always out talking with the king, as his mother told him, and she was as flighty as a frightened bird - always disappearing to some waterhole. She was so forgetful sometimes... it was a wonder she hadn't forgotten her sons all together.
Teko'Avati was roaming, as he had taken up the hobby, around the forests, studying whatever happened to cross his path with a scholar's mind - insightful, always paying attention to detail. No matter how dull a singular leaf looked, it was always different from the others on the branch, always a new splotch of color, a bend, more veins, and bite marks! Though different, everything had its own place, whether it was here on the forest floor or in the sky with the clouds.
... Clouds. They were so... boring.
It had been a fun game when Kimia first mentioned it, but no it was the same thing time after time, and whenever the blue-haired cub laid down to watch them shapeshift, he would call out the same animal, and then ended up falling asleep.
"Lion, lion, lion," Teko murmured, kicking up dirt with his front paws as he padded through the underbrush, tail limp yet occasionally twitching. His bright eyes followed the ground, noticing each rock and bug that scurried away from him, and each...
Pawprint? The boy looked up, round ears straining forward as he searched for their maker. They could be his, no! Unless he'd been travelling in a circle (which he was apt to do), they had to be some other cub's. They were small and light...
Like the pelt of Kabili, who meandered a little ways in front of him, apparently lost in his own tribulations. Teko's heart lifted - maybe they could be friends? And then he wouldn't have to spend so much time with his mother...
"Hey!" He called, voice slightly high-pitched and jittery as his small legs took him forward, tail held aloft and swaying. "Uh, hi. Where're you going?" Teko was never one for introductions, and wasn't very well-versed in the art of conversation, unless it was to a tree or a rock.

Kabili had been lost in his thoughts when the other cub spoke. His ears flickered at the sound of another's voice, at first thinking it was his female friend but when he turned he saw that it was not. It disappointed him but it couldn't be helped and he did his best not to show it. "Hi." he said simply, studying the brown colored cub.
He didn't continue to answer his question instead he turned his body and tilted his head wondering if they were related as they probably were. It was after all hard for them not to be. Most of the pride was related after all. "No where." was his answer to the question finally. He knew it didn't really make sense but it didn't really matter he was...well tired.
He had been tired a lot lately, it wasn't good for him he knew but he couldn't help it. His sleep had been rather restless. "Where are you going?"
