Technically, Pokesav doesn't give you the same results as breeding for perfect IVs unless you know how to calculate personality values (not to be confused with natures), which very few people outside of Nintendo/Game Freak do. In this way, it isn't really cheating. In other words, Pokesav Pokémon can be detected as hacks by advanced programs that Nintendo easily has access to. Because of this, people who really do care about Pokémon being hacked can sniff out and eliminate hacks in any tournament conducted locally (not internet tournaments, sadly, because you need access to the Pokémon in question). With that said, I don't care if people battle with Pokémon hacked with Pokesav as long as they are legal in-game (no Brave Bird/Hypnosis Crobats or Explosion Magikarps or, horror of horrors, Wondertombs).

PhoenixBlade983 Pokesav isn't cheating. As rave said, it's just used to save time, because some of us have a life. As long as the Pokemon has legal stats, effects, and movesets, the Pokemon is fine to use. I also believe that even if you used Pokesav, it takes brains and luck to win a battle. Even if someone made a maxed out Rayquaza with 4 moves in the 100 power range, it could still be taken out by a Pokemon created by someone with enough brainpower to figure out what could beat it (It's pretty easy to figure out one Pokemon). What I'm saying is, A) As long as the Pokemon is legal, Pokesav is legal B) It takes more than strong Pokemon to win a battle Seeing how that situation will be an uber battle I'd have a Kyorge that has Rested and CM'd at lest twice.
