By popular demand, we are going to tektek anything having to do with the Chinese New Year. The actual Chinese new year is Feb 7, 2008. I will leave this open for the entire month of January, but I want some thought put into your designs.
This will be the year of the rat- you can go search the internet for what animal you are. You don't have to do rat type avatars- that would be repetitive.
I want anything ASIAN!!! It doesn't have to be an animal, but I want to see something a little original.
I will allow 2 entries per person, but if you do 2, one has to be an animal!
GRAND PRIZE: 3000 GOLD- Best of the Best
1 prize in a each of the animal catagories: 1000 gold

 Because I'm in the Year of the Cat fanclub, I had to do a cat themed avi. xd It's still part of the zodiac legend, right? Yay for Furuba!

 The year of the Dog! (when I was born.. the Chinese said that 1994 was the year of the dog.) I hope it's true! because I talked with some chineese people and they said that to me blaugh

Never said she looked like Kyo. Just wanted to do a cat themed avi. xd Furuba themed avis would take way too much time for me to make, considering I don't like tekteking that much, lol... So I just went with a simple one that I liked. heart

 My entry is in remembrance of the soon to be ending Golden year of the Pig. I was born in just a regular Year of the Pig (1983), but according to Chinese folklore the "Golden year of the Pig" is an event that occurs only once in every 600 years. Its believed that all babies born on this year will experience a greatly lucky, prosperous, and wealthy life. Even more so then for those born under the normal Year of the Pig.
But on the flip side to this year long event it is also a year that will endure the most disasters and misfortunes to all those not born under this sign. Or so its been said.---  Since the contest isn't over yet I'll add in an Asian themed Avi. My avi is a possessed porcelain doll, brought to life with the dark powers of the Hannya Mask. It hungers for the souls of the young and innocent. Where ever she wonders she is followed by dark stormy weather, an omen to all village elders as sign that evil approaches they're village and to keep the children safe indoors.

I think it is obvious what year I was born in- before there were cute little piggies and cats for my dragons to devour, there was only the YEAR OF THE DRAGON, and I am their queen. We live in the fires of Mt Fuji now, but our origins were in China, amidst the volcanoes around Mount Tianshan. I AM DEMONLADYSESSHOMARU,QUEEN OF THE DRAGONS
