Adi'sa had spent the morning with Tailsin, but took this opportunity to escape for a short while. His new found 'mother' Nili was embroiled in an argument with Tailsin, AGAIN. But for once, Adi didn't step in, and instead slipped away, leaving them to it. Who would have guessed a little bird would have the guts to stand her ground against a lion?!

As always, Adi came back to the place where he was first found by Tawa'di. The place had a strange calming affect, like it held some significance forever in his mind. And it did really. It was the turning point for him as a cub. He'd found home and someone he could at least call 'friend,' if not (dare he utter the word) 'father.'

Adi sat down and just took a deep breath, taking in the sounds, the smells, the very essence of air, the essence of life. He quieted his mind and just listened to what the world had to impart to him.

Tawa'di's mind had wandered for much of the days past, ever since the goddess had returned. It was nothing in a dark light, though, for it gave him hope for the future, and especially for the generation below him. He couldn't wait to break the new to Adi'sa, though it had been some time since he had seen the dark red-brown lion. Perhaps it was because Tailsin had pretty much glued herself to his side (or so it seemed to him, they were so forward these days!), or the fact that he had to speak with Mana a bit more about the future in general, but it was only today that he found the time to wander around a bit.

He felt a pull to a certain area, but ignored it for most of the morning, wandering around, saying hello to those he passed. Hopefully the pride would return to it's former size, so everyone could break away into their own clans again. A piece of him would miss that, though, for the huge togetherness was something that all of them needed right now. Who knew, though, perhaps Tawa'di would not live long enough to see the clans all return.

Oh! Well, it seemed like his luck was still with him "Aaah, Adi'sa, my friend!"

It could only have been the work of the spirits, for how else would the one lion his thoughts were dwelling on suddenly turn up!

"Elder!" he said with a great smile, shifting his form and standing to properly greet the most important figure in his life at the moment. He never wanted to call him 'Tawa'di'. It always had to be 'elder' or something similarly, if only because it sounded more personal than his name.

Tawa'di smiled warmly as he shortened the distance between the two of them. "How are you, Adi'sa? Is everything well with you?" he asked, letting the little formalities of a normal meeting flow before he got down to the heart of why he was looking for his good friend. Well, he would almost consider him a son, he cared for Adi'sa so much.

He felt the breeze tease his mane, the old lion feeling a bit more energetic lately. Many factors could lead up to that point, but there was one simple way that they could all be summed up; he was happy. Very happy, and the world just seemed so calm to him. "It's such a pleasure to see you again. How is Tailsin, have you spoken with her recently?"

Adi could see that his aging friend and mentor was looking better than ever, looking a little brighter, and could only guess as to why. But that didn't matter, it only made Adi smile even more!

"I am very well Elder, been at ease with the spirits and getting to know these lands inside and out. Yourself? Might I say you certainly look very bright-eyed," he said, trying to pay him a compliment.

Adi'sa smiled again and laughed out loud at the mention of Tailsin.

"Aahah, seen her? I haven't been able to get rid of her," he chortled. "But she's certainly been an uplifting influence on me, I don't think I've ever met a more energetic and boundless personality."

Tawa'di laughed. He was a sharp one, and only getting sharper every day!

"Well, well, that's a good thing indeed now, is it? Wonderful to know that Tailsin has seemed to fit herself right back into our way of life." He pasued for a moment, letting the thought sink into the both of them before getting on with what he wanted to tell Adi'sa originally.

"Well, Adi'sa, what I seeked you out for was to deliver some good news! It seems that Mdhamana has returned to our lands," he grinned, waiting to see just what the adult had to say about that. Hopefully he would be pleased as well. Just think, such a high god, coming to actually live with them! It felt like their luck was turning around.

Even though he was still smiling and swatting his tail about, Adi'sa was suddenly dumb-struck. The meeting with Mdhamana still seemed like some surreal dream that had planted itself firmly in his subconcious. Like something had touched him greatly, but he couldn't put his paw on it.

"She...she's back? For how long, forever? Is she well? Is she happy and pleased with the lands?" he suddenly began a barrage of excited questions.

Tawa'di smiled at Adi'sa. He was very pleased that he was just as excited as he was about the whole situation.

"Yes, she is back," he said, beginning to laugh as he picked through all of the questions. "She did not say that she would stay forever, but for a long time. And I'm certain that it will seem like forever, for when a creature has been around since the existance of the earth, a long time most certainly could be a lifetime to us." He swished his tail behind him, shooing away some flies before he began again.

"She does seem pleased with the lands, yes, but she also mentioned that she wanted to see you again, when you are ready for it." He offered a small bow to Adi'sa, hoping that he would still be excited to meet with her again.

Adi'sa absorbed the stream of information that Tawa'di was providing, and trying to process it a mile a minute. Ah yes, a long time to a GODDESS could be longer than I'll get to see! His mind was aflurry of random thoughts and even more questions that he was dying to ask. I wonder if she is here for a reason?

But then all those questions and thoughts seemed to pale in comparison to what Tawa'di said next.

"...me...? She wants to see....me?" he barely uttered, rather awe-struck.

He knew of his gift, but it was far from as developed as the Elder's, and neither did he possess the Sight. So...what might the Goddess have in store for the inquisitive Adi'sa?

Tawa'di's green eyes studied the male before him. So grown up, so much more of an adult than when the old nvwati had found him all alone and starved not too long ago. Or, it didn't feel that long awgo for Tawa'di, but the older you got, the faster timed seem to pass. Someday his own time would pass, and he would have to rest a lot of his hopes on the shoulders of the young adult.

"Yes. I believe that she wants to tell you some things, things that might be apparent in the future," he said, having an inkling of what it might be, but he wasn't totally sure himself. No one but the goddess herself would know, and he knew, knowing her so well, that he himself would probably never know. The goddess did enjoy her secrets, and would probably advise Adi'sa to keep some of what she said to herself.

Wow...such treasured knowledge from a Goddess no less. Adi'sa was practically brimming with excitement, so eager to know what the Goddess had to tell him. He briefly wondered if this was how Tawa'di might feel about his gift, but then, it struck Adi'sa that the Elder had known nothing other than the Sight. And perhaps it wasn't always good news...

"When and where would she like to meet?" he asked, curbing his enthusiasm a little as his head buzzed with questions and possibilities.

Tawa'di's tail flicked at a fly, his eyes scanning around them for a moment. "Well, I'm sure that once you feel the tease of a warm wind, she'll be right there when you're alone." She grinned. "She had quite the way to know when you are alone, and ready to speak with her. Must come from her old age."

He couldn't help but laugh at the comment. She may be very very old, and while she might not look like a lithe young lady, she certainly looked much, much better than he did. Ah well, what happened to you when you aged gracefully, or so he teased himself.

He mildly wondered just what the adult thought of the goddess, not just in admiration of what she was. As long as they both could be close, he would be happy. He knew himself that he wasn't going to live forever, and the idea of the two of them with a strong friendship comforted him.

"Ah, so she'll appear when she knows I'm ready," he nodded and smiled, trying to take it in and sound as though he was calm and collected.

In reality, he began to worry when that would be. If she just suddenly appeared one day, he'd no doubt jump with fright! Or, the sense of waiting could ravage his nerves. He almost wished he could see her today, just to remove that sense of anticipation.

Adi'sa shuffled about a bit and swished his tail restlessly.

"Perhaps a visit to the stargrove might rekindle my memories of her, it seems so long ago now when I first saw her," he commented almost dreamily.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:17 pm

Tawa'di chuckled to himself. Ah, he remembered what it was like to be young, and when he had first seen her. She had left her own people, full of corruption, and the winds had pulled her away from there and to him, when he was still lost in learning his seer abilities. And though she mentioned that most gods were wary of seers, she did not mind, as long as they did not mention anything to her about her future. So long ago.

Tawa'di had to shake himself out of his hazy memories, still humored at the thought that Adi'sa was growing up, and it had happened long enough ago that he had other things going on.

"Well, I'm sure if you are there, you might be able to rekindle more than that." Humored, he did feel like he could see the two of them there together, but he always saw multiple outcomes of their meeting, and he tried to keep most of them quiet.

As dense as Adi'sa could be to the emotions of others, he couldn't help noticing those odd little smiles and chuckles of his elder, and how much younger it made him appear. Although, it could also signify a wily old gentleman's mischief. He didn't care to dwell on it too much, but it did make him smile.

Adi'sa got up to stretch, and inadvertantly yawned a bit as well, swishing his tail about excitedly.

"Would you care to join me in the Stargrove? Or perhaps just for a walk. I have a new friend who might see fit to grace us with her presence," he chuckled in reference to his avian guardian.
