Personality:
Gahiji, or just Jii for short, is terrible at making first impressions. He is rude, crude, a liar and a braggart, not to mention sly and flirtatious - and, to top it all off, a great big coward as well. He is, in his own words, a free spirit – belonging to nowhere, always on the move to somewhere else, and unfettered by any such trivialities as family and/or friends. If you listen to his rants, you would probably find him the most self-absorbed cheetah you ever had the misfortune of meeting.
However, this is all a façade. The real Gahiji underneath all of his bluster is little more than a walking bundle of abandonment issues. After the death of his father, his mother chased him away when he was little more than weaned, and he fell in with a loosely knit group of other young males without much purpose in life. Being the runt of the gang, he was constantly bullied and always the last to feed – even if he had caught the prey himself, which was often the case. Seeing that he was actually the best hunter of the group, some of the older males would sometimes pretend to be friendly with him, defending him against the others for a while as he either tried to learn how to hunt like Gahiji did, or get first dibs on the best parts of Jii’s catch - only to turn around completely when the game wasn’t fun anymore or when the others started poking fun at him for caring about the runt. When Jii felt strong enough to take care of himself he left them without so much as a backwards glance.
While travelling on his own, Jii met a female cheetah with whom he fell in love, for the first time in his life. She responded shyly to his feelings and for a while he felt truly happy and at peace with providing for her and himself, even beginning to consider starting a family with her. His dreams were brutally shattered when he found out that she had no such intentions at all, and had merely been leading him on in order to get enough food for her injured mate while he recuperated.
Again, he left without so much as a backwards glance.
Gahiji’s bragging is actually all about him fighting him own self-hate and general feeling of worthlessness. If he seems heartless, it’s because he wishes that he was - seeing that the big heart that he was actually born with has been broken so many times.
It can be very hard to get close to Jii, but for those who actually do manage to get under his skin, he is the most loyal and devoted friend one could ever ask for. For those that he considers close to him, Gahiji would gladly lay down his own life.
But he would never, ever admit that.

The Singer
Name: Fjolnir
Meaning: Named after a king in Norse mythology.
Pride: None, anymore
Mate: None. And not looking for one.
Mother: Dead
Father: Dead
Siblings: Dead
Personality: Fjolnir grew up in a pride of brightly-coloured lions who lived in peace and harmony deep in the jungle. They put great stock in arts, especially singing, dancing and storytelling, and were basically pretty hippie-esque. Except not vegetarians, obviously.
Then one night, his pride were surprised and completely slaughtered by a band of human hunters, leaving only Fjolnir alive - his mother sacrificed herself to get him into hiding. Only Fjolnir, and his best friend from childhood, the spirited dancer girl Fenja. He saw the humans take her away and stick her in a cage.
Since then, Fjolnir has spent his entire life guarding as much of his pride's old lands that he can keep with his own strength, and waiting for Fenja to return. He can't move on from the trauma of having seen his entire family murdered before his eyes, and basically the only thing that's keeping him from a deep, destructive depression is the thought that Fenja is still out there, and will one day come back to him and be his family again.
Fjolnir is also a VERY gifted singer.

Father: N/A
Siblings: N/A
Personality: Skadi is temperamental and stubborn, but despite all that a good friend to be counted on when the going gets rough. She can be a bit hard around the edges, but all in all she is a pretty confident and self-sufficient lioness, who doesn't mind a good laugh every now and then. She is completely faithful to the teachings of the Mizimu'Tungika, and quite attached to her aunt Skuld, a Scryer, even though the old lioness can really drive her up the wall, sometimes.

Meaning: Swahili meaning "Earth, dirt, clay"
Pride: Mizimu'Tungika
Mate: None
Mother: Ufahami'Tatuka
Father: Magadi'Afya
Siblings: Aruná, Tzora, Shikisha
Personality: Udongo is in a word: Sturdy. A bit slow both in body and mind, but kind and gentle. Udongo has grown into a physically very impressive lady, she is big and strong, almost as big as a big male (takes after her father a lot), but she spent a lot of time being clumsy while growing up, and has learnt to be extra careful and considerate of others. She also knows that she can generally take more of a pounding than others, so she is always likely to turn the other cheek, and never starts a fight (though she may thoroughly finish one if she thinks she's got good enough reason to). She doesn't think fast, and she doesn't share her thoughts with many, knowing they rarely have the patience to keep up a conversation with her, but if someone should bother to take the time, they might find her surprisingly deep and philosophical.
