I'm sure we can all agree that Neo Nazis play a nice part in the negative image of Goths. I've just recently dealt with a few of them from a local school, and I must say, they're very annoying U_U; Has anyone had to deal with Neo Nazis, or deal with being called one for one reason or another?

I'm happy to say that as afar as I know, I've never had to deal with neo nazis or any related incident.

Do tell us what went on.

Around here they're a lot more prevalent in punk and especially ska, ironically.

There isn't much racism amongst Goth's that I've seen, or much sexism, but amongst white Western Goth's there's a tendency towards xenophobia I've noticed.

Luckily I've only had to deal with them through their school's forum, otherwise I'd have had to beat down some bitches ><; The conversation was originally about what the Confederate flag stands for, why rednecks fly it, and that was basically it. Then some spazz who was all for the rebel flag, outta nowhere, just goes "Why don't we talk about Hitler while we're at it? I bet you think he was just a psycho, but he was a great man". That, being completely off-topic, threw me off, especially since it was about ********' Hitler. Pretty much got on his a** about putting Hitler on a pedastal, then all of a sudden there's like four other people going HEIL HITLER and telling me "******** you" for saying he was an evil man. I even had a guy who was in the Army telling me America was great, which was on my side, and then calling me a f** for it. I was so confused U_U;

I don't have to deal with them at school. Thank God. I dispise Neo Nazis mainly because I'm part German and my grandpa and my great-grandmother fled from Germany in the 30's or 40's. Don't exactly remember which. They disgust me. I like to watch the Neo Nazi documentries on National Geographic out of curiosity and everytime I do watch them I want to scream. They are a disgrace to Germans and to the whole world. I hope their leader gets shot. I don't remember the guy's name but he's some bald old guy that laways wears a hat or something...>_>..

There are not many in my area, since I live in a very cosmopolitan city where whites are almost a minority.

However, there are a few, which in itself is very scary. There have been a few incidents oover teh past few years where these idividuals have shown their presence. Last winter they painted a swastika and wrote "White Power" or somthing to that extent on the wall outside of a market owned by a family of Lebanese immigrants, as well as painted swastikas on the walls of a local school. There was one neo Nazi who attended my school for a short while. He was quickly expelled though, as he made many racist comments and even some threataning remarks to non-caucasin students. He threataned to bring a gun to school, and to this day, I still worry that he might show up at the school to carry out that threat.

My views on noe-Nazism are wholly negative. Anyone who applauds the actions of Germany's Nazi party in their dealings with Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, Homosexuals, and the mentally and physically disabled is a vile, soulless individual. To go a step further, and pledge alligence to an orginization which stands for senseless hate, makes one complete scum.

ew... -_-
I've never had to deal with that, thankfully. I can't imagine actually knowing someone who thought like that... I think anyone who actually did would be to afraid to tell anyone, even at my totally white-dominated school.

I'm fascinated and endlessly entertained by Neo-Nazis...

I despise them on a personal level, and everything they stand for. I also despise them for the negative light they've brought to goth.

But as a fan of grindhouse/exploitation, I really can't help but be entertained by them. Werewolf Women of the SS always gets me...

I may not applaud the actions carried out by Hitler and the Nazi party during WWII, but I am thankful for their very existince in our global history.
You can go on and on about how much we didn't need them in this world, when in reality, we really did.

Hitler's actions set forth an entire new understanding about limiting one man's power over a nation. Where as the Neo Nazi's are just ridiculous, and have very poorly conceived notions, they help us remember what we actually believe in and stand for. They stand as a check and balance system.

The push the boundaries of our community, society, and government. Which in itself should occur, for having a stagnant government can lead to further problems.

Plus, Hitler's scientists (willfully or not) helped create extremely vital technology that is still used today.

Neo Nazis: I don't like them, but they serve a purpose.

Actually I agree that Nazis served a purpose, but I don't really see their incarnate Neo Nazis doing the same. Of course that's just me.

Apart from my Schutzstaffel fetish, I don't see myself signing up to be part of the National Socialist party. Too much serious business, not enough killing.

I'm going to have to differ - I've never heard of any connection.

Its more a guilty by association thing, some racist (but funny as hell) black and death bands, black and death in most peoples minds = Goths... ergo Goth = Neo Nazi... its again, the few dicks shouting loudest reflecting on you all.

I suppose there's always Varg Vikernes who stepped down from doing black metal into doing dark ambient.

Then there's Mortiis who started out in Emperor, but didn't show any signs of the Nazi facisination that Varg did.

I suppose if you spin it up with some general ignorance with journalists it all makes sense.
