In Which Dimensions Clash

.::RULES::.

1. Follow ALL Guild rules.
2. In this RP, what I say goes. Please, do not argue with me about these rules.
3. This is an intermediate Roleplay, so it's for people of all levels, really. Actually, it's for people who are pretty experienced, but you don't have to type like five paragraphs. Your opening paragraph should be decent, maybe a few good paragraphs, but after that, 2 paragraphs is acceptable. Of course, you may type more if you would like. ^_^ Advanced and beginners are welcome here.
4. READ through all of these first posts. Thank you.
5. Please be ACTIVE.
6. Please, do not try to get like 20 characters. I WILL allow you to claim more than one character, if you can handle more than one while being active and literate. But, of course, please do not hog all the pre-made's. And, make sure you are active for all of your characters.
7. Keep OOC chat to a minimum, and please go to the OOC thread to chat.

STORYLINE

Everyone has heard of some sort of classic story about parallel worlds, different dimensions, even other universes. This story...is different.

An ancient prophecy arised from the odd depths of what everyone calls time. And this prophecy can never be shattered, as long as it remains true...and it certainly is true. All sorts of dimensions have heard of this strange prophecy, but many never chose to believe it. Old sages warn, "If we do not perfect our world, since we have been given an eternity to perfect it, then...we will know what it means to live in chaos." But, of course, most people did not listen. And even if they did, the world can never be perfect if every single living thing does not listen. Every soul must agree for the world to be perfect.

But the world wasn't.

And that's when the clash of the dimensions began.

Different dimensions and parallel worlds somehow merged into one. No portals involved, no strange comets or spaceships orbiting planets... simply, the different worlds became one. The terrain shifted, even the whole chemical make-up of the planet shifted, people seemed to die of no reason, and then...there was a New World. Not exactly a 'new' world, but simply, the clash of many dimensions. This New World, so it was called, was made up of the few imperfect worlds. The prophecy was fulfilled, and there was no turning back. The only way the clash would halt, and all the parallel worlds would return to normal, was if this New World could become perfect.

But if each dimension had failed in its own time, all isolated, how could the New World ever reach perfection?

DIMENSIONS

EARTH

Simple: Earth is just planet Earth as we know it, today. It's simply current time of today's real world. But... science and logic will be questioned as the New World contains many other dimensions...all of which do not abide by the laws of Earth. Earth is against all of the other dimensions, and seeing as they are different, wars and battles will emerge. Earth doesn't seem to want to stop the battles. Battles are the face of imperfection, so somehow, the wars must stop.

ARLONN

Arlonn is a magical world that takes place during the equivalent of Medieval Europe. But...Arlonn is much different than Medieval Europe in many ways. There are massive dragons...and phoenixes, and griffins along with hypogriffs and other magical creatures. Unicorns and Pegasi roam this world, and tall craggy mountains adorn every corner. Arlonn holds powerful sorcerers and mages, along with knights brandishing swords and maces, and of course, elves and dwarves. Arlonn is ruled by a single monarch. Some could call the King a tyrant, but, he isn't. He simply wants things to turn out positively, for the good of Arlonn, but he doesn't seem to realize that to reach perfection, he must work together with the other dimensions. And...it's not helping that their are traitors within Arlonn...

LARESIA

Laresia is a planet that was completely covered in saltwater...that is, until the Clash. Laresia is quite wild, for there is no leader who rules over the rest. Laresia contains many, many oceanic creatures...some of which are magical. There are giant sea serpents who don't have lungs, and of course, sea dragons. Mermaids swim about in the shimmering ocean water, and sea demons lurk in the shadowy trenches and rifts. The sea demons have eyes of glistening gold, and the ability to hypnotize. Their intentions are never good, and they always attempt to ruin things...so how can the New World be perfect with them causing all their mischievous trouble?!

ORCHEM

Whenever you think of a classic science-fiction movie, you would probably picture something along the lines of Orchem. Orchem is a world where science has reached its greatest height. There are high-tech weapons, awesome spaceships, and submarines that can withstand the deepest ocean pressures! Buildings are tall and made of metal and a special sort of unbreakable glass. Cars don't run on gas, but instead, on super-batteries. And, these automobiles are able to fly! But, with so much technology, there is a greater chance of it malfunctioning. With the Clash, magic from a dimension like Arlonn, can break through their supposedly indestructable glass, and then, the people of Orchem must question everything they hold true. Orchem is ruled by someone called a Chief Commander.

MORRINTIS

Morrintis may be the strangest dimension of all. In this world, there is nothing that resembles humans at all, unlike the other dimensions. In Morrintis, all the creatures living in it are part human and part animal. They can speak, and seem civil, but they are all somehow half-breeds. Some people are part fox and part girl, some are part boy and part falcon. There are even some people who have more than one animal-alternate. All of these people can shape shift to their animal-alternate. Morrintus has no true government, like Laresia.

The New World

Basically, the New World is a mix of all the 5 dimensions together into one mixed-up and mashed-up new planet. Some areas resemble Earth, whereas some areas look like Orchem or other dimensions. All the seas are taken over with the Laresia world, and occasionally you will see dragons in the skies, or maybe high-tech flying cars.

I will leave the minor details to you.

They wanted a new beginning; they wanted freedom from the rest of the world. He had sought to hand them their salvation. He had only managed to hand them their death.

What had once been the Sahara desert was not intruded by a new mass, a warped hulk of a mother ship that had failed to jump fusion transfers into a safe zone in a decent universe. Now, the barren wastes of the Sahara lie refuge to the Enigma, the most terrifying of ships that roamed the skies of Orchem. The size of the Enigma could be referenced to few things, but to sum it up the best, it was the size of a small country. Tens of thousands of rebels had inhabited the ship, the headquarters and home for all who belonged to Timestock, the revolutionary forces devoted against the oppression of the Chief Commander. The impenetrable plates that surrounded the mass were laid with thin solar panels, most of which were unharmed during the ships horrible descent to the surface. As the sun rose over the desert, the solar energy given to the ship was enough to power the back up generators throughout the hulk.

As power returned to the halls, rooms, and transport tunnels of the hundred story aircraft the lights began to resume their dull glow. The buzz of flickering illumination echoed throughout the empty spaces in one quick boom; then all returned to silence. Nothing moved, wires hung loosely and debris sat piled in disarray. Suddenly, an intrusion of noise could be heard deep from within the ship, near the central control. A massive heap of panels and destroyed walls began to rustle, as a large robotic arm penetrated the surface pulling debris aside. From the small pile of wreckage climbed an Armored Personnel Unit, with a small man inside the hold.

An Armored Personnel Unit was one of the main weapons used in warfare on Orchem. These mechanical suits of armor were able to hold one host, a pilot of sorts. From inside the hold, the pilot could command the suit to walk, run, and jump. Many of the newly made suits before the crash were equipped with underwater suction and replenishing oxygen tanks. This allowed the suits to work swiftly under water. The arm cannons, part of the suit’s vast weapon arsenal, were equipped with hydro locks to be fired with accuracy below the water’s surface without failure. Hydrogen and nitro jets were stabilized on the back of the suits to allow enhanced speed under water and in the air.

The pilot of this APU was the only surviving member of the Enigma crash in the unknown Sahara desert. Known only to his enemies as the Engineer, scientifically inclined Knocknull Rasputin was a vicious leader in the rebellion against the Chief Commander and regarded as by his foes as Orchem’s most wanted villain. He was highly regarded as a notorious terrorist, whose methods of management to war issues and revolutionary battles often lead to an extreme amount of destruction. Now, the Engineer stood as the captain of the Enigma and the only surviving passenger aboard the incredible ship.

Terrianne sighed impatiently inside the awkward cafe. She had finished eating her breakfast in a hasty rush, wanting to get on the move as quickly as possible. She hated wasting time. The cafe was a very strange mix of...weirdness. The food there was partly in the style of Earth, and also a bit of Arlonn; there was a variety of food there. The building itself was a mix of Earthly suburban shingles and also the stone walls of Arlonn. It was the strangest combination Terri had ever seen. The walls were lined with some abstract paintings from Earth, but also some beautiful portraits of Arlonnese whom Terri never knew or met.

She pulled her red baseball cap tighter to her head, the brim facing the back. "Take forever, will ya?" she muttered as everyone else in the group seemed to be taking their time.

Resia said in a petty tone, "Just be patient, Anne. You can't try to rush things like breakfast. You are supposed to enjoy this meal."

"Who says you can't enjoy it quickly?!" Terri retorted. Then she added, "And I told you not to call me Anne. Call me Terri if you're gonna use a nickname at all!" She glared at the elf.

Resia flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder and said, "I will not have you telling me what to do."

Terri rolled her eyes and thought to herself, I am never gonna get used to her...

Resia was eating some sort of dish... Terri was not paying attention to what everyone was ordering, so she wasn't sure what it was. Terri assumed it was a sort of Arlonn cuisine. It was very finely presented, the plate covered with vegetable leaves, then some sort of dark-colored sauce, and then it was topped with a lot of beef and shrimp. It was definitely a strange breakfast.

A young sea demon, known to most as Far'eh, was presently hitching a ride with an Orchemian man and his flying automobile. Against his will, in fact, but of course, he didn't know that, thanks to one hypnotism courtesy of the demon's innate abilities. "Take me to the nearest body of water," Far'eh ordered her victim, tersely. It had been over two weeks now since she had last taken a good long swim, and over three hours since a single drop of water had passed her lips, and thus, she was extremely irritable at the moment. "And, do you have any water anywhere on this miserable heap of rusted metal?!"

"No, Mistress," was the reply, spoken in the dull monotone customary to those with no say in their own actions. Far'eh smirked, somewhat maliciously. "Mistress, huh? ...I like it." She was cheered slightly by the title, despite the news that there was a lack of precious hydrogen dioxide on her recently-acquired transportation. She began preening her silvery hair in one of the vehicle's many mirrors, fidgety from the less-than-exciting activity of being in the presence of someone who couldn't speak unless spoken to first. "When will be arriving at our destination?" she asked, after a minute or two. "Twelve minutes," the man replied, promptly.

Several more minutes passed. "Are you a better conversationalist when not hypnotized?" "Yes." "...Might've figured," Far'eh sighed. "A rock might be better company. At least you can throw it at someone and get a good yelp out of them." She snickered at the mental image, then looked over at her stoic companion. He had no comment, as expected. After all, she hadn't directly addressed him. "How much longer 'til we get there?" she inquired, trying to break the silence, even with one-sided conversation. "Six minutes." "....Would it be possible for you to make your answers a bit longer?" Without the slightest hesitation, the Orchemian man replied, "Of course, Mistress. This vehicle should be arriving at a nearby body of water in somewhere in the vicinity of three-hundred and thirty seconds, give or take twenty to thirty seconds." Far'eh sighed, unhappily. Even if the brief answers he had previously given left her talking to a brick wall, they were better than his attempts to lengthen them, while still speaking in that dull drone. She stared out the window, watching the mixed-up world fly by as she twiddled her thumbs, waiting for this ride to end and for something interesting to happen.
