Zombie battle loadout.

All right, it's the zero hour and you've got to go zombie hunting. Let's see your loadout. I wanna see weapons, gear, clothes, and anything you don't have a picture of I want you to type out.





Assume that all magazine pouches have a magazine, and all magazines are full sized (not the snipped 10 rounders) etc...

My loadout? Uh... I can see magazines haphazardly stuffed into pockets. A hatchet stuck under my belt and a knife clipped on. A camo jacket and the toughest jeans I can find. And a backpack holding all my survival crap.

Any fancy harnesses and rigs I'd get along the way if at all.

SKS(not the best rifle, but a decent one). With receiver cover mounted scope already zeroed, because i have trouble seeing head sized targets past 100 yards.

210 rounds(20 stripper clips and 10 in the gun.

Roofing hammer(it's a hatchet with a hammer side)

Boat shoes(they're comfortable for me)

Jeans

T-shirt

Bathrobe(I'm not shitting you, I had the idea to turn a bathrobe into a useful load carrying system and did, because it's a lot "lower profile" than a chest rig and as such will make me less likely to get shot. It can easily hold plenty of ammo, keep me reasonably warm, keep the wind off me, and is not going to hinder my movements).

Long-term BOB(everything I'd need to last for at least a year).

Any other food, water and ammo I can scrounge up. Even ammo for weapons I don't use, as it can be used to barter or can be used if I pick up another weapon.

My girl with her loadout(similar to mine, but with a hunting rifle and less total load).

Dream loadout:

Same except with a truck, half the bed full of ammo in ammo cans(working on getting that much), AR-15(in addition to the SKS, as it's my first rifle I'm not leaving it behind), 1911, etc.

You don't need to be secretive. Besides, walking around in a bathrobe (Non-Zombie invasion) will have people looking at your curiously anyway.

Besides, you'll just look plain silly. rofl

As to this thread, since it's a "dream load-out" I can include a G36 right? I've always had a thing for it ever since I held it.

You don't need to be secretive. Besides, walking around in a bathrobe (Non-Zombie invasion) will have people looking at your curiously anyway.

As to this thread, since it's a "dream load-out" I can include a G36 right? I've always had a thing for it ever since I held it.

There are such things as non-zombie threats. Raiders, looters, and other people. Walking around in a tac vest is a "shoot me first" sign. Sort of like being a radio operator. You get shot first because you're the biggest threat. If "looking silly" is the price to pay for not being seen as #1 threat(and thus letting me get a shot off while someone else ends up drawing fire), so be it.

And I wear a bathrobe around anyway, although not with a rather large bag full of stuff or with a rifle. I wear it on days when it's chilly.

And I don't see anywhere it says what you can and can't have as a weapon.

Perhaps it's hard for me to understand the point of view of a person looking to shoot OTHER people amidst a zombie outbreak. I would assume, the more "human" you looked, the less likely you would be considered a threat.

Well, I could of gone of the wire and said my main weapon would be a tank. I just wanted to know if this list was based on what we have or can have, or perhaps just "dream" eh?

The only time I'd fire on another living person is if they were a threat to me or my group.

There will be raiders and other types who would fire on others for material gain. To deny that is to be naive.

I don't worry about the zombies. Whether shamblers or runners, they can be evaded easily. They also can't shoot me. Raiders, looters, etc. however, will shoot me. I'd rather be on the low end of the "threat" spectrum in their eyes while still being as much of a threat as possible.


I was also under the impression that common sense dictated in this thread(tanks and other such things are out as far as weapons are concerned). If they're not, I'll just take a large quantity of nukes, a bunker and the supplies to survive for two weeks in a bunker.

M14 w/ scope (don't know what kind; I'm good with guns, not scopes)
CTAR-21 (Tavor-21 Commando), 416, G36K or C, P90, MP5, UMP, or an MP7
Five-seveN, Beretta 92, 1911, USP in 9, or .40, or a Mk23
AA12, USAS 12, SPAS 12, ATS, Super 90, or a SPAS 15
M249 SAW para (dream)
stand-alone M203 (dream)
M60 for when I set up camp in a building (dream)
A couple of frag, flash, stun, and phosphorus grenades (dream)
Propper Multicam BDU jacket and pants, Multicam BDU combat vest
10 cm hunting knife, KABAR, S&W Combat Ready Boot Knife, or a Fairbairn Sykes
Charcoal grey or ACU combat gear for urban environment
Extra Mags, extra mag pouches, plenty of ammo in all kinds (trading and if I find a new gun)
extra clothing, jeans and t-shirts
Survival gear, food, water, MREs, flint and steel, small stove and propane tank, emergency crank-powered flashlight/radio, shortwave radio, portable radios (walkie-talkies)

Realisticaly? I'd probably have my M1, with as much ammo as I can carry, a back pack and my camo pants, t shirt, and my M65 jacket.
