Which version of the grunties is better?

Which version of the grunties do you like better? I personally like the ones in R:1 because they aren't annoying like the R:2 ones and just way cooler in general. Plus you can ride them!

Oh God, that's a tough question. The grunties in R:1 annoyed me to no end. (MON AMIIIIIII!!!!! D<), but you could ride them and have them find portals and food and stuff, which became really useful.

For the ones in R:2, I was pretty apathetic about 'em, since they weren't that much of a big part in the story. They didn't really do anything, so I'll have to say the R:1 grunties, for their usefulness. xD

While Rocker Grunty will forever be the most awesome R:1 Grunty, the fact is, Noble Grunty made me hate all Grunties until R:2.

Why?

Because if you messed up even the LITTLEST bit, you always raised a Noble, and thus, I got disgusted in even attempting for the others >.>


R:2 did a very interesting thing with the Grunties and I'd LOVE to see that actually done in a game, a person's "pet" modeled after them and their personality.

It was really original.

Plus, Mellow Grunty is adorable lol

edit~ now that i think about it, Crim is the only other one in sign that has a grunty. You see him jump off of it all heroic like in like...episode 15-17 i think, i forget...

They're really that annoying in the original games? I haven't played them like Shishi said, so I was basing everything on the anime (like Sign and Legend of the Twilight)
