I used to do the same. In the end I avoided dairy apart from ice cream so I was only taking like 2 a month. Good news is that I seem to have grown out of it. Only too 8 years>_<

My mom and I usually buy lactose free ice cream, but she forgot to recently, so neither of us could really eat it >____<
I'm fine when it comes to aged cheese, though. That doesn't seem to bother me.
