Tattoos - like them? Hate them?

Ok so lets talk about TATTOOS!
What are your views on them?
Do you have one?

Personally, I do not have a tattoo and doubt that I ever will. I want to get a tattoo unless it is a quarter size and easily hid. Idk I just think that something permanent is not fun D:

I want one but i'm not allowed. I have super senstive skin and i'd swell up like crazy if i got one.

I want one, but im a wimp. I would love some UV work done, since I want them on my arms/ hands. For not I have Sharpies and they do me fine because I can wash them off biggrin

I have odd reactions to things so I just won't get a tattoo.

Never get a tattoo with someone's name on it. While it is easy enough to get it lasered off, my friend likes to tell the story of her grandfather having to get a tat removed before her grandmother would marry him. That was in the days when you had to have the skin removed...

Eriwain: Thanks. My good friend drew it for me. She has a matching tattoo on her opposite foot. I've been thinking about getting a little skeleton kitten for him. lol.

First tat. Got when I turned 18 to see if I could handle the "pain". I got it before I realized everyone wanted stars all over their bodies. lol.

i love mine . . . took me three hours to get done . . . felt really good to me . . . getting it anyhow when i woke the next day and tried to stand i collapsed back down, my leg wasn't working for the first 30 minutes or so after waking . . . the suppressed pain had numbed my leg . . .

The fact that a tattoo is permanent make me think they are not worth it. I would not mind body painting on occasion or when having fun with friends and stuff. Me and my girlfriend doodle on each other all the time. I think that is enough for me.

everyone hates tattoos because they're permanent . . . tattoos are NOT for people who can't keep they're mind focused on one thing . . . i've loved dragons since i was a little kid . . . so when i got a tattoo i got a large one that the calf (back of my right leg) it covers that whole space ankle to inner knee . . . i thought it over for 5 years before i got it . . . i had the design chosen for four of those years . . . if i wanted to change my mind 4 years would have done it but i didn't i still wanted it . . . and almost four years after getting it i stil love it . . . if you get a tattoo feel passionate about what you're getting . . . if you go in and pick an image out of their books you have a higher chance of regretting it . . . and that's what many people do . . . i disagree with that idea . . .
