I was in the mall looking around when i saw Blood+ the manga.

Recently I've gotten into the anime from a friend who happened to have it burned from old fan-subbing sites. Only gotten up to episode 29 but it's awesome.

Oh but yeah... getting off topic...

The manga has been released and is, of course, different than the anime in so many ways (more stereotypical anime expressions with the sweatdrops, blue lines, etc) but it still has the great action and characters (though Karl has been renamed Charles and is a little kid).

There was technically already a thread discussing Blood+ manga, but that was mostly a new bulletin for releasing dates. Dark Horse to release Blood+

Agreed, the manga is entirely different, I've read it all (ending is more disappointing if your a Diva and Anime!Nathan fan)

And 'Charles' really is 'Karl' it's mentioned somewhat in volume 2. He just chooses to take the name 'Charles'.

I wonder why...hmmm...well is it better than the show, or is the show better?

[I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, but I'm soooo excited!!!]

In terms of Story line and what they show, the manga is better, but the anime is really great also, there are a lot of things different, so I'd personally say they're equal.

Yeah, because the manga is "Blood+" and the movie is "Blood: The Last Vampire." They're two different storylines.

Based on the two volumes released, I feel that the anime is better, at least so far. It just feels like there's been zero character development so far & some things happening are just.. eh.
They're both good though. The manga artwork is really nice.

i think it depends on the reader, because when it comes to the manga everyone is reading the same thing it depends on their imagination.

So far yes, but there are still 3 volumes to go, and Diva hasn't entered yet. So far, around this part of the anime, it was all boring, and a lot of watchers stopped around there. I feel that, for events before Diva's arrival, the manga beats the anime.

I've read till the end of the manga, and so far, I think you shouldn't judge just yet, in my own personal opinion, it's a lot more epic.

I bought the first one, and its like TOTALLY different than the anime. Like, Saya almost gets attacked by a chiropteran when she is preforming a play for her school. i was like, did i miss something???? I still want to buy book two, though...
