Naruto Daycare RP (Open and Accepting!)

Orochimaru has used a new technique to turn all the young ninjas in Konoha and Sunagakure into three to seven-year-olds. None of the adults were affected by the technique. For their safety the children's weopons have been confiscated, and they've been transported to a secret facility where a handful of adults watch over them while everone else tries to figure out how to reverse the technique. I know the plot is a tad cliche, but hey it's fun! mrgreen

If anyone wants to play Naruto, Gaara, or both, please let me know since I plan to have my own character make friends with them.

Made-up characters are welcome also, as long as you play a Naruto character as well. Everyone can play a total of up to four characters.

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES!!!!!!!!:

1)Follow the TOS and please keep this PG-13. Remember, they're only kids.

2)In order to make sure the RP stays uninterrupted, please PM me with your profile if you're interested in joining instead of posting your request in the thread. DO NOT POST YOUR REQUEST IN THIS THREAD. If I accept you, I'll be sure to let you know. Put a domokun in your PM to show me you took the time to read all the rules.

3)Please be sure to let everyone you're roleplaying with know if you're going to be gone for long stretches of time.

4)Please, please make sure your sentences are understandable and not full of typos before you post.

"Lookit me, I'm a dingblasted midget for cryin' out loud! How in the heck am I supposed to fight anyone like this? When I get my hands on whoever did this, they're gonna pay!"

To say Lorelai Dannehur was angry at being turned into a mere child was an understatement. She was ticked. The fact her older brother Thomas was collapsed on the ground in a laughing fit wasn't helping her mood either. He wasn't really laughing at her. It was just the expression and her use of vocabulary coming from a small child that he found so amusing.

"It's not funny, ya insensitive jerk! Sheesh! Ya may be nine years older than me, but sometimes yer so immature!" Lorelai crossed her arms and sat down in a huff, knowing that within two hours' time, she would slip back into the mind of her six-year-old self, an unfortunate side effect of the jutsu.

She sighed and got up to walk around the facility for a bit, trying to get used to maneuvering her new body and also to get away from Tom's annoying laughter. She finally found a shady spot under a tree and lay down under its branches to watch the wind blowing through the leaves. The outdoors always had a calming effect on her, even when she was a small child. Must have somethin' ta do with bein' a shapeshifter, she silently thought. Within minutes, the sound of the wind sighing through the trees had lulled her to sleep.

Two hours later, Lorelai awoke with no memory of ever being any older than six, let alone that she was supposed to be a shinobi of Konoha.

After several minutes of fruitlessly searching for someone to play with, she went back to her tree and pulled a tin flute from her pack. Tom had been kind enough to give her a bag full of small toys and coloring books before he'd collapsed into his laughing fit. Lorelai had started trying to play the flute since she was three, and was now trying to recall the fingerings to a simple tune she'd been practicing.

She only stopped when her stomach started to grumble and quickly dropped what she was doing to find something to eat. Lorelai soon discovered the apples dangling over her head and started climbing the tree using her claws and swinging her tail to keep her balanced to get at the tasty fruit.

Once she'd knocked enough apples to the ground, she skittered and scratched her way down the bark and made herself comfortable next to the small pile of apples. She chose what looked like the biggest one and took a bite, smiling with her eyes closed in childish pleasure as the sweet juice ran down her chin.

Lorelai finished her apple and buried the core before discovering a small pond to wash her hands in. She rubbed her wet hands on her pants and started to chase a butterfly that fluttered past. "Hey, come back here!"

Sorry..... *sniffle, sniffle*))

He stands up, looking around. he lets his gourd fall from his back, for it is too heavy now. "Hm....."

Lorelai had become bored and blew a simple tune on her tin flute as she searched once again for someone to play with.

Music floated to his ears. (question: Gaara, is he before the fight with naruto or after?)

((After. biggrin I wonder if I should add in my introduction that anyone affected by the jutsu reverts back to the mind of a child in two hours. That's what happened to Lorelai, anyway. lol ))

Lorelai frowned in concentration and sat cross-legged as she awkwardly tried to play Shanendoah, all thoughts of socialising temporarily banished as she tried to find the right notes.

his sand formed loosely into a teddy bear. he drug it as he followed the music, looking sulky

Lorelai fumbled to a halt as she forgot some of the notes and sighed in frustration. She frowned at her flute and scratched an ear while trying to think of another tune and finally settled on playing an old folk song her brother had taught her.

He watched her from a bush, hoping not to be noticed, but at the same time hoping she noticed him.

Lorelai finally got bored with her flute and put it away. She started playing with her shadow by watching it as she skipped and danced around while singing a nonsensical song.

"There was a crooked man an' he walked a crooked mile. Had a crooked six pence an' a crooked little style. Had a crooked dog an' a crooked cat an' mouse, an' they all lived together in a crooked little house. An' he'd say, 'Oh don' let th' rain come down, oh no don' let th' rain come down. Uh-uh don' let th' rain come down, my roof's got a hole in it an' I might drown. Oh yes my roof's got a hole in it an' I might drown!' "

She laughed and was about to repeat the last verse when she caught sight of a pair of eyes staring at her from a bush. Lorelai paused in midstep and tilted her head to the side in confusion as she started talking to herself. "Hm, don' think I've ever seen a bush with eyes b'fore. Berries maybe, but eyes?" She scratched an ear and twitched her tail as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
