Anyone else besides me try it out? It's actually pretty decent, although online play is a bit of a joke.
With a "rule of two" card limit and the deck point construction limit, it seems incredibly balanced as the only real "money" cards end up being locations and monsters. In other words, a starter deck is only slightly different from a hand-built deck made from boosters in how it actually plays.
The card game plays out fast, and is actually quite fun thanks to the "Burst" system, (cough-STACK-cough), which allows for intense plays to save your monster or set up for the next turn. Inversely, the online experience is tedious, lag-tastic, and confusing due to a poor presentation and interface, and did I mention the 45 second time limit? That becomes a problem when you're trying to chat, and lag can screw you over completely.
Hmm...locations, deck costs, equipment; where have I heard this before... stare
