What music do you listen to when drawing?

I like to listen to Owl City and H.I.M. when I draw. Sometimes I listen to Linkin Park or Panic! At the Disco. It all depends on what I want to draw. If it's something fun, I'll listen to techno or upbeat music. If it's a darker piece, I'll listen to bands like Three Days Grace or My Chemical Romance.

Any specific bands? Any specific genre? Post what you like to listen to as you draw!

I listen mostly to video game music, 95% of it is super nintendo music.
Such as Super metriod, Donkey Kong Country 2, legends of zelda, Mario.. etc.

Plus i got playstation.
such as: Crash bandicoot 2, tomb raider, twisted metal.. etc

HAHA I must be the really weird one then! XD I don't listen to music anymore while I draw! It's TOO DISTRACTING!!! Damn art school screwed me up.... But maybe it's for the better? Who knows?

I used to always listen to Red Hot Chili Peppers when I drew. Now I listen to Harry Potter xd (not the music, the book)

I listen to slow paced music when it's something sweet and soft.
Upbeat music for something surreal or abstract.
It just depends.

I love pop, rock, classical, r&b, hip hop, but my favorite music to listen to is when it's in German, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, or really any other language. As long as the music sounds great ... it doesn't matter.

If it's something for my art class or I'm getting really into it ... I prefer silence. >_>;

Oh I don't listen to music while I draw either. I just never thought to myself "hey, I'm going to be sitting here drawing for 3 hours, let's put on some music!"heart~<3

Depends on the type of piece I'm drawing...and on my mood. When my ex broke up with me on my birthday, I went into the worst destruction spree known to humanity. And yet, somehow, I ended up drawing some of my best art while listening to Bullet For My Valentine and Apocalyptica.But heres a list of what I usually play:
Happy - Red Hot Chilli Peppers/Gorillaz
Peaceful - Classical
Anger - Korn/Disturbed
Love - Paramore/Utada Hikaru/Within Temptation
Sad/Depressed - Breaking Benjamin/Within Temptation

I go to the XM Radio website and turn it on "40's on 4".
The old music soothes me really well, and helps me focus on what I'm drawing.

It depends on where I'm at. If I'm away from home, I don't listen to anything, except the conversations around me. If I am at home, what I listen to varies. Lately, I've been listening to I Dreamed a Dream, and Lovely Ladies from Les Miserables. biggrin
