10binary-0 It seems that certain things are always talked about more. People talk about dealing with addictions to alcohol, drugs, porn, homosexuality, and other forms of self harm as well as harm to others. It seems these things are always a big deal. Are there other problems that get overlooked often? It sounds funny but sometimes I want to come up with a new sin just because I'm so tired of hearing about sex, drugs, and suicide. The sins of incest, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, addictive habbits like pornography, drunkedness or drugs, witch craft, murder (self inflicted or otherwise), etc. are only mentioned more often because they often times have the most harmful consequences. It's not they're "worse" sins, because all sins are equal, they just get special attention because they are so destructive. Proverbs 6:16-19 says There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
God hates all sin, but these in particular because of the consequences they have on others and on the sinner him/herself. Those sins you mentioned pastors hate in particular for the same reasons.
