Koin was slightly nervous. The lands smelt of lions and faintly of blood. Nevertheless, his curiosity got the better of him and the wind was blowing into this land. He took a hesitant step forward with one his blood-colored paw. He's go through and he'd be safe.
The white dog shook his fur and made his way forward into the lands. He trusted the wind to keep him safe.
'Keep me safe...'
He pushed himself to stay in the land, but stuck close to the borders. A feeling of foreboding, however, got the better of him. "I should leave..." He whispered to himself.

"You should leave, but it's too late for that," Nyota purred darkly as he stepped out of the darkness, gold eyes shining. Oh, what a perfect day this was. Not only had he taken down a full grown waterbuck earlier, but now, he had the perfect target to become a slave. The wild dog was small enough that Nyota stood a good chance, and he wasn't a seasoned fighter by the look of his hide.
The young demon smirked, charging forward and quickly feinting at the wild dog's legs. His first step was to get the canine deeper into the lands. He had to cut off all escape routes.

Eyes widened; shocked. He hadn't expected this to happen, so he almost froze. He felt something at his back legs, so he ran straight ahead. Unfortunately, this was into the lands he wished to leave. Koin panicked and ran, but he needed to fight.
So he turned, intent to face his attacker. He knew he shouldn't, but it was too late. He had to try now. Koin lowered himself into a position of defense. Eyes darted around, looking for what attacked him.

Nyota paused when he saw the wild dog take on a defensive stance, and he smirked. They were far enough into the lands now that he could entertain himself with a good fight...
He paced just outside of Koin's vision for a long moment, before growling low in his throat and running at the wild dog. He was quick to attack this time, claws going to bit at the wild dog's side viciously.

A growled sounded on Koin's left side, and his head swished to that direction, shocked. Fear glazed over in his eyes and panic struck harsher than before. Koin's breath quickened, unsure of what to do. He had to escape. Coming here was a bad idea.
The claws against his fur and skin barely registered before he lunged at the lion in attempt to escape. Adrenaline raced through him, but would it allow him to escape? He couldn't feel pain... For now at least...

"Don't think you'll escape from me so easily!" Nyota snarled, dodging Koin's lunge and quickly rounding around the wild dog's right side. His claws bit into the dogs hind leg, attempting to tear muscle to reduce the wild dog's chances of escaping.

And so it did. Koin's blind rush in hope to escape was did not succeed. The claws went through quickly, cutting the top layer of thigh muscle. Koin gave a growl of fear. A snarl. He attempted to lunch at the lion again, maw open to bite down. He needed to escape...
Nothing mattered anymore. He needed to escape. He just needed to... At least until he started to feel pain. He needed to fight until the Adrenaline stopped pumping through him.

Nyota snarled as he felt the adult wild dog's jaws clamp down in his right front leg, and he lashed out with his left leg, making sure his claws got the wild dog's left shoulder hard. He wouldn't let the canine get the best of him!

Koin's teeth had sunk into a leg. Maybe he could get away now! But that was when claws ripped down on his shoulder. Blood was all over his body, mixing with his original markings. They were barely visible. He wasn't too white anymore. He released his grip and yowled in shock.
The bloodied dog gave a snarl, backing away, though farther into the lands. He shook in terror. Soon, he wouldn't be able to stand anymore. He'd be in a lot of pain later.

"If you want to live, you'll do what I say," Nyota growled softly, his eyes glittering. The pride could use more slaves, and the fact that the wild dog was still standing stood in his favor. After all, how long did he think he'd last on his own? At least here, so long as he served the pride, he would be fed and cared for...

A decision... Live and stay here; enslaved. Or die trying to leave. It wasn't too hard to decide. "I want to live..." Koin whispered. He hoped the lion could hear him, for he sat, unable to stand on his right leg any longer. The pain was settling in now as the adrenaline disappeared. He was still slightly panicked, however, and shaky. The shaking would go away soon. It would... Hopefully.

"That's a good boy. Now follow me, and I'll show you to your new home," Nyota purred darkly, walking off into the lands and expecting Koin to follow.
