Note: This is NOT an attack in any way.

As i read up and try to understand Islam more i come across time and time again the saying that the Qu'ran is Perfect , perfect being Void of imperfections(mistakes).

However what started out as something i noticed where Sura 2:29 says the earth was created first and then heaven. then Sura 49:27-30 says the heaven was created first and then the earth was created, Led me to do a quick internet search to see if there were any other Numericle discrepincys

Quote:
How many angels were talking to Mary?

In Sura 3:42, 45 SEVERAL angels appear to Mary in the annunciation of the birth of Jesus.

In Sura 19:17-21 only ONE angel appears to the virgin Mary

Allah's day is equal to how many human years?

In Sura 22:47 and 32:5 Allah's day is equal to 1,000 human years.

In Sura 70:4, Allah's day is equal to 50,000 human years.

How many garden's are there in paradise?

In Sura 41:30 and 57:21 there is said to be only one garden in Paradise.

In Sura 18:31, 22:23, 25:33, and 78:32 there are many gardens in Paradise.

How many groups will there be at the last judgment?

Sura 56:7 says there will be three distinct groups of people at the Last Judgment.

Sura 90:18-19 and 99:6-8 say there will be two distinct groups at the Last Judgment.

Who takes people's souls at death?

Sura 32:11 The angel of death

Sura 47:27 The angels (plural)

Sura 39:42 "It is Allah that takes the souls at death"

How many wings do angels have?

Sura 35:1 Angels have 2, 3, or 4 pairs of wings

The angel Gabriel had 600 wings. (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 455)

How many days did Allah need to destroy the people of Aad?

Sura 54:19 - One day

Sura 41:16 & 69:6,7 - several days

Which was created first, the heavens or the earth?

Sura 2:29 says the earth was created first and then heaven.

Sura 49:27-30 says the heaven was created first and then the earth was created.

Heaven and earth ripped apart or called together?

Sura 41:11 states that in the process of creation heaven and earth were first apart and are called to come together.

Sura 21:30 states that they were originally one piece and then ripped apart.

Does Allah forgive shirk?

Sura 4:48, 116: No

Sura 4:153, 25:68-71: Yes

Moses and the Injil

Jesus was born more than 1,000 years after Moses

Sura 7:157 Allah speaks to Moses about what is written in the Injil (the book given to Jesus)

Who brings the revelation from Allah to Muhammad?

Sura 2:97 - The Angel Gabriel

Sura 16:102 - The Holy Spirit

Ezra the son of God

Surah 9:30 says the Jews believe that Ezra is the Son of God - the Messiah

This has never been a tenet of Judaism.

The Golden Calf

Surah 20:90-100 says a Samaritan helped the Israelites build the golden calf, and it mooed after coming out of the fire.

Samaritans did not exist as a people until at least 1000 years after the time of Moses and the Israelite exodus from Egypt

is what i came up with, Now i went through and chcked each verse manually to make sure these thing's existed (and i even checked the historicle ones...it toook agesss)

and i then found an Arabic reading friend and asked him to make sure they werent translation problems. The saint that he is kindly checked them and it turned out they werent

So in short, how can we claim the book is infallible...if it has this many historicle mistakes and Contradictions in it?

If these can be explaind away i will happily accept the claim of perfection, it's just that before i make the leap of changing my Faith and thus my Life, i want to know everything i can about it, ive a logicle mind i want to understand things before i take them as blind fact.

This book was written by freaking desert nomads. i would think that there would be more than you just put up. Ratri always seems to find flaws. I'll have her post about the inaacuracies about Abraham.

Here's my bone with the Quran.

Muslims say it was written, like that the Qur’an was written down 20 years after Muhammad died and there is other Arab literature that has survived from the 7th century.

There were secretaries during the Ummayad Dynasty (AD 660-750) and that Muhammad himself worked on a caravan where written records of transactions would have been kept.

But the oldest Qur’an, according to forensic dating, is in the British Library. It dates to around AD 790; almost 150 years after Muhammad’s death.

The defense of disintegration can be applied to the early New Testament documents which were written on papyrus. However the earliest Qur’ans were written on parchment, a far more sturdy material. Many of the early Christian parchment manuscripts have been preserved in extremely good condition despite predating the Qur’an by several centuries.

Some scholars are proposing that the Qur’anic text was not standardized until AD 750. Big difference from tradition.

So where are these missing documents? Or do Muslims have an inaccurate copy of the original?

This Answerd nothing, it was him going "RAWR LIARS!".

Lets Retify in the ARABIC Quran there are "Multiple" cases where in one Sura something is mentiond, and in another Sura...it is contradicted.
Why?

We cannot atribute this to Translation error, as there is no translation happning.

I really need to know this -_-

Bismillah---

I'm going to do the research as I have the arabian sudian quran in my hands right now.
But I'll tell you what, arabic words has many many meanings, so it's a bit confusing. You should really be fluent Arabic speaker. I'll check it and tell you right away.
