Shu had been visiting Soo for a while now- he found her company to be very welcoming. It was strange but with her—when he was with her he felt like himself. This was a good thing… Traveling to see her was also something he enjoyed doing, the walk always seemed to brighten his day.
Shu was a dreamer and today he had his hopes set on the sky.
Soo was waiting.. and waiting….and waiting for Shu. She had grown attacked to him, close to him and use to his face, his smile. Her sight was getting better now thanks to a goddess healing her- so Soo was able to see the face of the male that brought her happiness- it was a lovely feeling.
Her lean frame arched as she yawned and smiled to herself, licking a paw. He would be here soon, right?
He was close now, he could smell the swamp lands from here. He was excited to see Soo today, he had news for her—good news! His paws pressed forward as he moved into sight, smiling as he spotted Soo’s sitting form. She was so pretty…
“Hey!”
He called out trotting toward her now.
She smiled too, blushing almost. Gods—he was able to make her feel like such a cub again. Her pale eyes narrowed as she stood up and nuzzled him softly speaking out.
“Hey you.”
She purred.
“Sorry it took me so long.”
He chuckled, smirking at her; at her sign of affection he blushed bright red---but she wouldn’t be able to see it… not with his dark pelt and all. Good thing to, he must have looked like a fool. He moved himself away some and spoke out to her with a bright smile.
“I have some good news.”
“Really? What news is that?”
She grinned and sat down. Her gray pelt looked so light compared to his dark; she adored him so much—she could hardly stop looking at him.
“Come on, tell me. Don’t make me wait.”
She begged.
“I’m going to stay here with you.”
He spat out; his eyes narrowed as he turned to gaze at her. He ws very fearful at first… he didn’t know how she would feel about this at all… this worried him deeply. God he hoped for the best.
“If… you want me to, that is.”
Soo blushed hard at his words. This was unreal—did he really mean it? Did he really mean what he just said to her? She could hardly sallow her own thoughts.
“Shu..”
She paused and looked down at her paws, unsure of what to say.
“I’d love for you to stay.”
She spoke out ever so softly.
Shu gulped.
“You really mean it?”
His eyes narrowed as he gazed over at her for a second, smiling deeply. His eyes closed as he nuzzled his chin against her forehead, purring deeply.
“I’m so glad to hear.”
“Shu… “
Soo softly spoke, nuzzling her face into his mane.
“Please, stay with me. Please don’t go. I’ve been waiting for this for so long. Please.”
She felt so tiny- so small- but this was the truth of it—Soo needed this, needed him; she needed this happiness.
“I want you to stay with me.”
“Soo; im going to stay here with you.”
He nodded at her words and smiled, holding her close to him.
“I’m not going to leave your side, I promise you this. I swear.”
With that he nuzzled her again and moved to sit beside her; they would spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying each other’s company.
