For One Day

I would sell my soul just to be happy for one day.
To know what it was like to have the blues chased away.

To finally know what it was like to know simple joy.
Like the happiness and comfort that comes from a child's toy.

And with this new found feeling,
Maybe my broken heart would do some self-healing.

And maybe then this pain wouldn't stay.
Maybe my friends wouldn't be at bay.
Maybe if I was happy they wouldn't stay away.

Anyway, I hate this feeling.
I hope someone is listening.

Because I don't like what I have become,
It's not fun, always being in a group of just one.

I just want to have some friends.
Where the relationship wouldn't break, and never bend.

And for that one simple wish I always wish on my birthday,
Is just to be happy....for one day.

For One Day Very good poem. It seems like you wrote it a long time ago though...

Perfect What I liked about this poem is that, at the end, you say "Let me see everything I am glad that I will never be." it's showing that you may tihnk of yourself as ugly but you really don't care too much.

Smile I can relate to this poem. You look in the mirror every day and see someone that no one else sees but you hide what you see with a simple smile. I don't know why but it kind of reminds me of the saying, "Smile, it confuses them"

Underneath the Ground This one seems to be bursting with emotion and mixed feelings between a lost love and your own self confidence. I don't really understand the title but, other then that, I'd have to say this is one of my favorites.

Short Story I LOVED this! I was laughing the whole time! It reminded me of this little girl that I babysat who kept asking questions about everything! It's such a cute story!

Angel This sounds like something by Evanescence. It also seems like you stopped writing poetry for a while then you started up again by writing this.

Crimson Tears This is another one that I really liked. It's very pretty and full of energy and emotion.

I deleted your poem "Screw" because it's not really PG-13. (It was very cute though! blaugh ) And I didn't respond to all of your poems, I know. The ones that I didn't respond to I liked but I couldn't think of anything to say. I love your work and I can't wait to read more!

Story Stoy was really funny, but it made me think of paradoxes and paradoxes make me confused, but none the less good job
