Can anyone shed some light on The Sun of the Major Arcana? What it implies? Are there any negative connotations or warnings associated with it? I'm using the Rider-Waite deck.

I don't have the Rider-Waite deck but that shouldn't matter.
The Sun (XIX) comes after the reflection of The Moon and so represents an increased strength and self awareness as we emerge into 'The Sun'. It signifies a certainty that we know ourselves, what we believe in and what is real. The message of The Sun is that of peaceful contentment with the world and it's workings. It's a good card showing a good place to be within yourself but be sure to go with it and not over analyze it's meaning.
Obviously it's individual meaning will depend on the other cards drawn and it's position on the spread.
