Strongest Rifle?

What would you say the most powerful rifle is? I don't mean machine gun, but sniper-rifle. My dad has a Remington .30-06, and I think that is in the top.

What would you say?

I'd go with the 20mm, followed by the Russian 14.5mm and 12.7x108mm, .50 BMG and .416 Barret.

The corect term is, "Anti-Material Rifle"

However, even though the .50BMG has the most knock ft/lbs of knock down power, either the .408 Chey-Tec or the Barrett .416 are the best rounds for an Uber-sniper rifle.

Not so. 20mm is the line where 'rifle' becomes 'cannon'. That's why 20 and 30mm miniguns are called autocannons. The M61 is officially a "20mm Vulcan autocannon". The wiki page for 20mm says "The 20 mm caliber is a specific size of cannon or autocannon ammunition, commonly the smallest caliber which is unambiguously a cannon (or more commonly today, autocannon) and not a heavy machine gun."

Agreed. I want the .50 conversion though, because 20mm is expensive as hell, and I don't think my girly shoulders could handle that kind of recoil.
