Ever since his return, Denahi just...didn't seem at home. He missed his old mate Rehani dearly, but to show signs of weakness to his family he had once tormented as a cub was not part of the charcoal male's plans. At least, the male believed showing emotion was showing weakness. He had to let the memories go and let facts be facts. Rehani was gone. She had gone with their last litter of cubs on a trip. The cubs returned, but her? Did she grow tired of him? Did she now see Denahi for the monster he truely was? These thoughts escaped into his mind, tearing at his brain, almost causing him to go crazy (or crazier than he already was).

Then, his mind focused on the female he had met traveling back to the Kusini lands. She was annoying; that was a main memory Denahi had known. Persistant as well. Oh well, she didn't matter because the charcoal adult had lost her during his travels. Maybe she too grew bored of him - of his cynical attitude on the world.

Enough thought. Denahi needed to get his mind off these memories. He needed to go see Syeira sometime in the future. As long as she wasn't near Uumi, the male would probably be civil towards his baby sister.

Life was good, amazing even! The young adolescent had grown up so beautifully within the last few months that it was almost shocking. Once a small cub, Citka now portrayed features of a lioness, no longer holding her cub 'baby fat'. Her forelock was growing (in which she liked to keep extra clean, for she could never tell if the blonde mane had the brown stripes in it, or rather dirt specs) alongside her legs (which she loved to use when running).

The charcoal female had still been a big fan of catching bugs, and even had a dead bug collection just under a rock near her family den. It was a secret, and even Koda didn't know about it (unless he used his twin telepathy on it. You know, it's possible twins have some sort of connection like that.) She was sure he had his own stash of pine nuts around somewhere. Those weren't as fascinating as Citka's bugs.

Her bi-colored eyes scanned, she was going on a hunt. Granted, she wasn't the best hunter (except for insects), but she loved to try new things. What she focused on though was not a herd animal, but rather a larger male lion traveling to the east towards the Dya'Comi river. She had never seen him before...an intruder!

When the scent of another hit the air, Denahi's eyes narrowed at once. It was almost as if instinctevly. Knowing to he had to calm himself, the bright eyed male turned towards the newcomer, almost becoming shocked at who he was face to face with.

She looked like his mother, but...not. Her paws were either caked in mud, or they were her actual pelt color. But he was not mistaken that charcoal pelt and the wheat dorsal stripe that just missed the tail. He knew for a fact he had to be related to this one. Even the eyes....well eye, held the family history of his mother. A bright blue one that shown against any color pelt.

"You are related to the fallen queen, aren't you." It wasn't a question. It was just a statement as if trying to confirm it himself.

Feelings of the past were arising, almost causing Denahi to turn away. She looked to much like his mother. This isn't her, he kept reminded himself, his mind flashing the images of the glazed over blue eyes that no longer where bright as the stars at night.

Citka stopped in her tracks as the intruding male spoke. The fallen queen? Her aunt was the queen, so did this mean her grandmother that she had never met? She had heard stories, but it was just that, stories. She didn't know what she'd look like, only that she had caused these lands to flourish again with her mate (Citka's grandfather) and their litter. What was the story that her father had told her about her grandmother's death though? She couldn't quite remember that either.

"I am the daughter of a healer, who's mother use to be queen. I have never met her, just the king who will soon pass his title to his first born daughter." For a younger age, Citka spoke with intelligent. She was sure she got that from both of her parents. She adored them so.

"Who are you?" Now was the question. "And what are you doing in these lands?"

Denahi wanted to roll his eyes at the little girl. Couldn't she have just said she is the grand-daughter of his mother, not the little speel she had said. "You must be talking about Asikari then, I take it." Once again, the tone of Denahi's words were distant, as if not wanting to actually speak to this female.

"Asikari is the King. The King is my Father." Meaning the fallen queen was his mother.

"You say he is handing his title to his first born daughter. I take it then they had another litter," the last sentence was spoken to himself. He was trying to confirm everything in his head.

"That must mean you are a child of another from their second litter." Denahi didn't know much after he left for the firekin lands, and eventually the pridelands back here to home.

"My name is Denahi. These lands are my home." Admittance is the first step.

"I don't believe it. Prove it." At this, Citka referred to Denahi proving that the current king was his father. She didn't know how he would, but she wanted proof. "If you are really who you are, then why did you leave these lands in the first place. Why now do you want to return." Citka wanted to wheedle the lies out of this male. If she couldn't, she knew her aunt could. She would take the larger male to Syeira after this. Syeira would know if this male was talking the truth, especially if he 'claimed' to be related to her.

Denahi could feel his patience with the younger female growing thinner by the minute. "I spoke of the King's name, is that not enough to prove it?" How many other lions could know Asikari's name. With his father's thick accent, he was unsure how anyone could actually understand a word he said.

At her next question, Denahi faultered. "I don't need to explain myself to a cub." He huffed, stalking passed the girl. How dare she question him. He was from this pride. He was related to the future queen, and he was related to the current king for crying out loud.

"I am not a cub!" Citka growled, tail lashing behind her. She didn't follow the male though. She knew better than to go after someone who was much larger than she was, and with the scars that male had, she was sure he had gotten into some scuffles before.

She would have to tell Aunt Syeira that there was a strange male roaming the lands, and to be on her guard.
