I'm just playing my DS peacefully in my room upstairs, y'know, just havin' some fun, until I hear my mom. I shouted back "What?" and there came no reply. I heard a faint "I need help!" later on and I figured she was just talking to my dad.
So everyone in the house except for maybe my baby sister, which was the thing she needed help with, is ignoring my mother, so she goes, "Help! I'm dying!" I start laughing hysterically from upstairs. And she's trying to get my dad's attention (he's watching movies on his laptop, lazy old man he is) and she's being like "I'M DYIING AND NOBODY CARES."
Still chuckling, I come down and help her with whatever she wanted me to do.

Heard that but from my brother's wife. Not so much as "I'm dying and no one cares." per say comes forth out of her mouth, but might as well.

Funny story there.
Sounds like your dad was really into his movie.
