Everything was so...so busy lately! Granted, it was a good kind of busy, but even then, there was only so much he could take before he got tired - how his mother did it, especially now, Narindima'moyo had no idea. Well, truth be told, he did know how she did it now: she delegated. Mostly she delegated to him, and to his half-sister Shishi...but more to him, since Shishi had cubs.
Lately, Nari had started to wonder if maybe she meant for Mwenye-Heri Tarishi to be the next Queen. She did seem to rely on her a lot...but there was still Roho, or Epesi or Arada. In the end, who knew?
The lion rolled over and sighed, staring up at nothing in particular.

The brown lioness had settled in well, as well as she could for being so shy, at least. She had adjusted quickly to the soft earth beneath her paws and the ways of the new pride.
But she hadn't made any friends. Not really. They seemed a nice enough pride. When she needed help, guidance through the new terrain, someone was usually willing to help. Unfortunately, Nyamaza had been too shy, too nervous, to really pursue any friendships.
Except for one. She hadn't forgotten Narindima'moyo, the lion who had first brought her to these lands. It seemed that they were both always too busy to speak - but something had happened, and so the lioness was seeking him out. He would be the first she told, aside from the queen herself.
To her surprise, and relief, it was not difficult to find him. The blind lioness recognized his scent immediately. "Nari," she said softly, padding over and stopping a few feet away from him.

"Eh?" the lion mumbled, pulling himself back form his mental wanderings to stare upside-down at the one who'd spoken his name. Nyamaza! He grinned and rolled back over onto his stomach so as not to look like a complete slob while he talked to her...not that it mattered terribly much, he supposed, but it was the principle of the thing.
"Nyamaza! Good morning," he said happily.

"Nari," she purred again, pleased to hear his voice. It was familiar, reassuring, as it had been the first time that they had met. When he had brought her here, her new home. "Good morning to you, too. I'm not Nyamaza any more, though."
Her lips played into a slightly lopsided grin. "I'm Auwali'kipya now." It was almost as if she couldn't help herself, overflowing with almost cublike enthusiasm, as she continued, "It's so... it's so... I don't even know how to describe it! I thought I would have a hard time, you know, adjusting, because I've always been Nyamaza. But it's... easy. Natural. Me. Did you feel that way, Nari? What was your name?"

"Not anymore?" he said with curious excitement, head tilted - and then she told him! It was a wonderful name, of course, but the most important part was that she had one, and she was happy with it.
Nari hopped to his feet, grinning. "That's wonderful!"
"And yes, yes, that's exactly it." His tailed flicked behind him with his glee. "My name was Nyoe."
