[FIN] I Miss you Mama (Fu & Kamau)

The young male leaped from mossy stones and fallen tree branches with uncontrolled energy. He was quiet, but on the alert, today he hoped to catch a glimpse of his mother. His nose had finally told him where she spent her time and he wanted to spend time with her. A tremor of fear had skittered down his spine at the thought that he would loose his mothers love if her mate disapproved of him.

He slunk quietly and lay low his green eyes watching everything and trying to capture every vivid detail. His treasure from within the ruins hung from his neck, the ivory carving thudding against his chest softly. He stilled his impatiently flicking tail and prepared a smile for his mother hoping to catch her attention.
 

[Pink Myth]

Soft green eyes looked around her as she sniffed the air smelling one of her little ones. One of the little cubs she didn't feel like she should see. She stopped moving to a tree quickly climbing into the branches to try and hide from him. She looked down at the dark brown male with white stripes.

She watched him closely he was so small and so frail in her eyes. He just had to be the last of her offspring to make it threw the ordeal alive. She took a deep breath before holding it tightly as she looked down to him her tail flicking in slight amusement she might get caught. She was scared to see her children she hadn't since the first week they where born.

Her nails began to dig into the tree branch as she could hold her breath anymore as she let it go slowly hoping she wouldn't get caught as she began to take another breath. She then looked to Sefu who flew over and landed on a rock near her son.

She blinked a little as he stood there looking to the male as he fluttered his feathers before hopping closer to the boy giving a small little coo before crooking his head moving to adjust his wing feathers.

Kamau waited still as a statue, his tiny body was tense and eager his green eyes on the alert for his mother. He waited...and waited...and waited some more, unknowing of the fact she was already above him. His nose twitched, but he dismissed it, after all his mothers scent was all over the colony.

He glanced over as the bird landed and smiled softly his voice gentle. "Hey there...your around momma a lot aren't you?" For a moment he felt a pang of envy, why was it everyone else could be around his mother but him and his siblings? He tensed again determined to wait until the ruins fell down around him if he had too.
 

[Pink Myth]

Fu eyed her cub as she laid down onto the branch her tail flicking side to side a bit. Then she noticed the relic hanging from his neck. Her anger started to rise her blood beginning to boil as she jumped down in front of her son glaring down to him.

"Little boys should be wise not to go threw others things." She said coldly to her soon blood or not he took it from the ruins and she wanted to know why. Course it was rather pretty and it seemed to fit his personality that was beside the fact he happened upon her home with her mate Mawi and found it. It had been one of the many object she and Mawi found over the years tucking them away in their room.

Her cold green eyes started at the boy long and hard waiting for him to answer her. But she was being a good mother and not lashing out at him like she would have done to others if the disobeyed.

"Sefu." She said looking to the bird as he looked to his mistress before flying to her shoulder. "Keep a better eye on my things." She said bluntly before turning and walking off no longer able to deal with her son as Sefu took to the sky.

Kamau looked at his mother startled by how she had appeared as if from thin air. He looked up realizing she had been above him, for how long he wondered. Her voice cut into him and he frowned looking down for a moment before meeting her gaze, he had waited to see her and now that she was there he wouldn't look away even if she was upset.

"I didn't know it was someone elses mama...I found it in the ruins...the place looked abandoned." He decided not to mention his sister had found another pretty bauble in that place. His green eyes met hers without fear, only the hope and curiosity of a young cub.

When she turned to the bird and then away from him he jerked back a bit startled, was she really just going to walk away? He bolted after her "Wait mama!"
 

[Pink Myth]

She let out a small growl as she walked still moving a bit faster now but then a sharp pain went through her chest as she slowed and looked back to the cub.

She sighed softly moving over picking up the young cub by the nape of his neck before bounding up off the largest ruin building. once at the top she placed him down onto the edge where he would be level with her.

"What do you see?" She asked looking ahead at their home and the forest that surrounded them.

She listened to him closely it was her first little attempt to make up for her sins she knew she was probably doing the worst thing for them by staying away.

She was a young mother though and these cubs where not with the male she wish them so desperately to be with. She knew what she was doing was wrong and every time she looked on them she would feel the pain of going against her love.

The young cub tried to remain calm as his mother picked him up but inside his heart soared, if she accepted him, maybe there was hope her mate would as well. He wanted so very badly for them to be a family proper, he loved his sisters, his mother, his home.

When she set him down he grinned slightly at being up in the ruins, he could never get this high up. He couldn't wait until he was grown a bit, able to follow his mother up to the highest reaches, and maybe her mate would teach him...like a son...a real son.

He focused back on her words and looked out around them. "Home..." He answered honestly his heart clenching with the desire to protect.
 

[Pink Myth]

She let out a small chuckle shaking her head a little as she stretched out on the ground getting to his eye level. "Look again." She said as she took the the sights of the ruins the river that ran along the outer edge of the colony. Her eyes then fell upon the boys siblings as she watched them a moment before turning her attention back to the boy.

"Yes this is our home but what makes it our home?" She asked the boy she had thought of it till now but she should have been raising each over her children for a rank that would take later on in their life.

Her eyes fell onto the young cub beside her it was the youngest of all her cubs that had survived at least and he was calm and always seemed to want her attention even though what she would do to them by ignoring them or running away. She closed her slightly tired eyes as she took in a deep breath.

She would have to think of something to do to make her sins be forgiven. Opening her eyes the young mother looked to the sky seeing the light and dark blue color she let out a growl as her tail hit the ground in annoyance before flicking to one side in irritation.

Kamau looked down again at the home he loved, his siblings specks playing below, and other leopards here and there in the ruins. He could see nothing more but what his green eyes took in still he tried wanting to please his mother.

Finally he had a moment with her, her attention, and he struggled still to find a simple answer. Her growl and tail lashing made him nervous but he pushed the emotion away and focused again.

"I...It's always belonged to us mama, it's the only home I've ever known...and it always will be so long as it's filled with the ones I love." Kamau frowned slightly ashamed of his answer, it was honest, but it sounded strangely lacking to his own ears. He tried to keep his ears from drooping with disappointment, after waiting so long for a chance to impress his mother this was a dismal moment.
 

[Pink Myth]

She sighed softly before picking him up by the back of his neck as she began to walk down the ruin placing him on the ground once she reached it she then looked around a moment before shaking her head.

"You have much to learn." She said a bit bitterly as she began to walk away from her son her eyes slowly moving to the sky seeing the blue light poke through the tree's. She closed her eyes before looking down to her feet as she began to think of her sins.

"To much to learn maybe." She said softly as she closed her eyes tightly as she stopped in her tracks before looking back to her son then to the others around her.

She had to do something this unpleasant feeling of something terrible coming was starting to nag at the back of her mind. It was just a little twing at first but now it was forever present and it scared her and this is something the leopardess would never admit. She did not like feeling weak and she had to think of a way to reserve it to fix it.

Kamau cringed as his mother picked him up and set him back on the ground, he rose to his feet wanting to follow her. If only he knew the words to say to make her love him...

He followed a few steps after her unused to the painful sensation of rejection, he needed his mother. "You could teach me mama?" He looked at her hopefully his green eyes glowing. He moved closer edging to gently touch against his mother comfortingly.
 

[Pink Myth]

She looked to the boy a moment before nodding. "Alright I will teach you but only little things and no telling your siblings." She snapped quickly as she looked to her son. "Understand?" She said watching him for his answer before moving on once more to where all her cubs spent there nights.

"Go on now in bed." She said pushing him into the small ruin.

"I understand, I'll be the best student mama you won't regret teaching me..." He smiled up at his mother despite her hard tone. He let her push him reveling in her touch before scampering inside the ruins himself to lay down.

For a long time he couldn't manage to close his green eyes and when he finally did the cub slept in peace at last secure in the knowledge that he might soon manage to secure his mothers attention...and someday love.
