It's only haram to step upon Allah's name [Allah forbid!] or drop it onto the floor or something, even if it's just written on a piece of paper or something. =D Even the Muslim calendars, the ones that say the times of the prayers, and have Allah's name on them, must not be thrown away, because they'll go in the bin, where all the dirt and trash goes.
