Awesome. The advantage to being unnamed you dont need to worry about the crew while doing jumps and stuff like that. Im sure the first jump would have broken some necks, at the least some killer whiplash.

Plus you don't need so much armor. It brings down the building cost somewhat while significantly reducing weight which increases maneuverability.

Considering the project only took something like $760,000 so far is surprisingly inexpensive sounding for such a problem. If all goes well this will make a good product for the military. The one thing I worry about is the spring loaded wheel. It seems like that might be a weak point and if damaged could cripple the tank.

But, best not to underestimate and go on luck. Should fix that issue. Anyway, this would be a cool ammo carrier or if they could strap on a turret, it'd be a kick a** RC tank. Also... I wonder if they've ever tried making autoloading tank turrets. I wonder what they've done to counter radio jamming techniques.

That's all a tank like that really needs, especially with the way modern warfare is. We haven't had a real tank war since WW2.

History has been full of humiliating defeats that have been a result of underestimating the enemy. Anyway blocking jamming if not already done is probably next on the list. Actually with information warfare being a good probability there should also be some strong encryption. We can't expect this little gem to be used only in places where the inhabitants don't know the difference between a hard drive and a processor chip. We must assume it will be used somewhere where someone might know how to hack the machine and block us out of it.

Yeah, if you love tank wars then the Afrika campaign was your wet dream. The RC tank that I'd like to get is the Goliath. Small, nice on fuel, and friggin awesome. And I'm sure you could wire up a wireless system on that thing.

I wonder what they've done to counter radio jamming techniques. Most soviet tanks beyond the T-72 have autoloaders.

You wouldn't even need anything larger then a .50cal, since I'm sure something like an APC's 30mm would be way too heavy. I also wonder what kind of sensory tech it has. Im sure cruising at 60 mph means you'd need some good cameras to see where your going.

If the Reaper UAV can do 300mph and not crash into something, I'm sure if they put a comparable camera system into this thing it'll fly just fine.
