Title ---- Position ---- Description
*[Lions only] Makabaila - Queen - -The queen oversees all of the pride, duh. Queens usually mate with a male and he becomes a king, but other combinations or reasoning for a king were not so uncommon in the Kusini history. Has final say on all decisions.
*[Lions only]Kabaila - King - - The king ranks just below the queen and often supports her. Many of the past queens have given good advice to the kings and have helped keep the pride strong, but now that the rolls are reversed, it is up to the King to help out the Queen.
------------------------------------------ Due to the mental illness that runs in the Kusini royal blood on the male side, the Makabaila is now the overseer of the pride. The King is second in command alongside the elders
------------------------------------------
*[Lions only] Rithi - Heir - - The heir to the Kusini'Mwezi throne. One day she will grow to become the king's replacement, taking control of the pride. The heir is always a female. If there are no females, the elders will choose who becomes the Rithi. No male will be the heir.
*[Lion only] Kilidana - Princess - - Any female children of the king who are not the heir.
*[Lion only] Kilinda - Prince - -Any male children of the king who are not the heir.
*[Lion only] Kijumbe - High Elder Male - - Wears a crown made of bones with two tusks crafted into it somehow. Favors the Winter Season
*[Lion only] Mjumbe - High elder female - - Seems very favorable toward the fall season. pelt contains fallish colors as well, warm browns and oranges. She is kinder than the other three elders, some even dare to call her playful. Knows which plants and foods are good and plentiful during the Autumn. Specializes in death ceremonies and prayers. Wears a weaved, dried grass crown with a few feathers hanging here and there.
*[Lion only] Ujumbe - Elder male - - Wears a crown crafted out of water lili weeds (no flower part) with small shells and even a few dried sea stars in it. No one knows where he received such an item. Favors the Summer season
*[Lion only] Jumbe - Elder female - - Wears a crown of flowers and buds, with a neatly crafted, dead and dried butterfly intertwined into it. Favors the Spring season
*[Lion only] Mshauri - Advisor - - Teachers of the Rithi. They hold no true power within the Kusini lands while there is no Heir, but may sit in at the meetings with the Elders.
*[Royal Blood Lines Only] Usare’Wasii – Blood Brotherhood Guardian - - These are a group of lions dedicated to the protection of the mentally ill members of the royal blood-line in the Kusini’Mwezi pride. They were originally started by Syeira, the daughter of the original king and queen, in an attempt to protect her younger brother and her son. These guardians also go to great lengths to keep these ill members away from others during fits of rage in an attempt to keep them from doing harm as well as receiving it. Since the illness runs in the royal bloodline, it is typically other royal members that are recruited for the brotherhood, as they would understand the cause better from knowing close relatives with the disease.
Becoming a Usare’Wasii means spending a lot of time training not just physically, but also mentally. Syeira requires all potential members to leave the pride and spend a great length of time away from their family and friends in an attempt to ensure the stability of the guardians both emotionally and mentally. After all, they will most likely come to blows with their unfortunate family members at some point in their life and must be ready to do so when called upon. It will take a secure mind and heart to uphold these responsibilities, especially when pitted against close relatives.
Usare’Wasii are marked with the same symbol.
Yaya - Care takers - - Care takers are just that, they take care of the young when lionesses are out on the hunt. They are generally males, adolescents. There needn't be too many, two or three at the most. They supervise cubs and are made to put up with them.
Msa - Head huntress - - Leader of the hunts, always a female. Deadly and graceful she holds a rank of her own in the pride. Decides when it is best to hunt and knows the land well, as well as species they hunt. Picks an apprentice that is of juvenile age, begins to teach them about the prey and about the hunt. Through the generations they have believed that to hunt best you should know the animal you are hunting, and this is why sometimes they go on long trips just to study the animals and not hunt them.
Poza - Healer - - Very knowledgable in the area of herbs. Picks an apprentice while they are still juveniles, they spend most of their lives traveling. Has a strange way with birds, in which they use to send herbs found back to the pride. Their practices can only help minor cases, hunting wounds that aren't serious or scratches and minor wounds from fights.
Mwindaji – Huntress - - The default rank of any female pride member. These are the ones that help hunt/gather food for the pride.
Wanakinga – Hunter - - The default rank for any male pride member. These are the ones that help hunt/gather food for the pride
