or characters in?
I am not free of strong opinions about the kinds of scenarios people come up with when writing about furry characters, but I'm curious.
E.g., mine tend to revolve around the tension between fur-covered people and naked-skin-covered people living together, because I think racial tension is a compelling theme. And said fur-covered people are either living on other planets (or from them originally), mutants, or the products of tissue engineering, generally, because those are the settings I can come with that make sense to my "Okay, but how does it work?"-prone mind.
Yours?

In my world, anthromorphs come from a parallel dimension. They're basically the gods and demons and supernatural beings that people worshiped long ago, which is why spirits of many religions take on animal forms. Many can also take human form, and many of them have wings as well. The beings from this world have powers, some of them having more powers than others. During humanity's more primitive era, they tried to watch over and guide humans, having existed longer and evolved for longer and believing humans to be a younger race needing guidance.. however, for some reason, whether it was harder to travel between dimensions, or they wanted humans to grow on their own, they disappeared. But now war may threaten between the dimensions due to fear and hate, and the anthromorphic world being more powerful humans may not have a chance.
My character is one who has grown up in the human world, in a human shape, unknown about his anthro side until he hit his 20s. Apparently his fate in this war to end all wars is important, and his unrealized powers necessary for either side to win.

In my world, there are no humans. Only anthros and their feral equivalents (and the odd dragon/gryphon/etc anthro who came about through archaic inbreeding of so-called sacred mutations). It's creationist, because I can't think of any other way that almost every species would have a quad and humanoid type naturally.
It's not very exciting yet, but it gives a nice base if I decide I want to make fantasy based stories in it. Mostly it's just to play around with my fascination with genetics.

My fursona, Weiss, also my alter-ego, revolves on (of course) the Theism vs Atheism. not in the means of whether God exists or not, but more of how theism (specifically Christianity) who teaches that very much our instincts as animals are sins and are punished. Weiss is the instinctual side of humanity and animalistic nature with the gloves taken off. Before the notion of God or religion, everything lived by instincts, they are what allowed beings to live, survive, breed, and evolve. Weiss follows not the moral dilemmas or the social norms, he acts purely on instinct and his vicious nature. I guess, I created him as a reminder that we are all still animals no matter how many cities we build, no matter how many disease curing medicines we make, no matter how many technological advances we make. We are still animals. maybe that's what I am aiming for rather than theism vs atheism.
Also funny how we humans try to transcend our animal selves into something more God-like.

One of the projects I occasionally do a little design work on involves a world inhabited by two civilizations of two species, one herbivorous, urban and shy, the other carnivorous, nomadic and aggressive. A small army of humans, refugees from an interstellar war, have also landed and set up a small city. The interesting bits of the story [will] revolve around the interracial tensions, human-faction politics, and some of the "science" explaining why everyone is carbon-based, uses left-handed amino acids and can talk to one another (hint: panspermia and subsequent manipulation).

I want to develop a fantasy world and stuff for totally separate characters from my fursona, but I never get around to it. I spend too much time working on different projects to do that. It's also why I don't write many stories. I would like to, but never have the time to do it. (Though I'm sometimes just lazy.)
Most of my ideas are just stolen from other things anyway. It'd be my take on it though, at least. Things like time travel or s...something else.. I can't remember all of my ideas actually. I should write them down more often. xd

Furries and humans living in the same dimension.
Lots of fights over which race is better.
Many lives claimed.
People bombing for peace, protesting ans s**t.
Pretty much like how it is IRL, only with furries :D

I think of it in a verity of ways. I see it as a verity of realms and space areas tho as far as my char. i see it as in this same timeline however liveing in a place much away from this world. As in Takeing rifts to drop into this world say to get some things from this time. However there are are difrent times and places i could go to. But the idea of sliping realms is a cover all as realms can hold an infinite amount of Times and places and posabilitys.
As far as goes and such its a much more complex thing.

Mine's kind of boring. It's exactly like the world now, but everyone's anthro instead of human (non-anthro animals still exist and perform the roles they do in this world). The only really big difference is that some anthros can have unique powers/abilities, which are completely independent from their species.

My fursona (at least the one I ended up keeping) was originally part of a certain fantasy/sci-fi universe in my head that I'm writing about here and there. I gave him a history in there and eventually ended up inserting him into the story itself... Yeah, I was like 15 at the time. The current version of him doesn't really have any attached universe or history or anything. I've also been trying to make him a little more like myself in various ways, and less Mary Sue-ish.

In my Fursona settings, an entirely different galaxy houses Anthro types. This is pretty much separate from the human Milky Way Galaxy. The planets in between have different levels of understanding of other planets, as well as the level of technology. Some planets are still wild and untamed, with many living in a tribal type lifestyle, whereas others utilize technology, and can even enter the voids of space to cross into these other planets. Some that have connected have even begun interstellar Import/Export. And even on some planets, the level of technology and social life are exactly similar to our very own Earth. Many planets, however, are embroidered within planetary war, either civil, or invasion from a separate planet. Pirating, slavery, and illegal substance transport is for the most part unregulated in the deep voids of space in between planets. This leads to a heavy need for mercenaries, bounty hunters, and other freelance types to help combat these unregulated threats. This is where my Fursona comes in. My fursona works as both a mercenary, and as a bounty hunter, fighting for whichever side seems the most fair, and usually turning the tides for whichever side he decides to join up with. Said fursona started off on a planet with similar technology to Earth's, and ended up in space in a slaver's run.

It occurred to me the other day that while a lot of people write fapfiction about various furry characters (theirs or those of others), relatively few have expanded into the relatively open field of "paranormal romance", aka bodice-rippers with werewolves and stuff in them.
