I'm sorry, but my utility knife is one-hand openable. I got it that way on purpose. Sometimes, I don't have the CONVENIENCE to open a knife with two hands. I work with wires and on ladders a lot. Easy one-handed opening and closing of a knife is not a luxury in my line of work, it's a necessity.

If a knife openable with one hand would be banned the box cutters we use at work would be illegal. One of my co-workers today opened 1800 boxes with her cutter. Third and first shift combined packed 70,000 pairs of shoes. Easily a quarter million dollars worth of shoes at retail price. All of that would be impossible without a one handed blade!
This level of stupidity just makes me want steralize myself so my children don't have to suffer the fate of dealing with this mass of lead paint chip eaters we call the world.

Those that would have gone sterile from eating paint chips can't because they banned lead paint. They've banned a good many ways of stupid people offing themselves. And people are still thinking of more 'dangers' to correct. Banning pens with pen caps. :/ Why don't we ban all small objects capable of choking someone that's dumb enough to stick in their mouths.

It's why I don't plan on having kids. Ever. That, and I have a very strong feeling that my kids wouldn't survive to their 18th birthdays.

At the highschool we were allowed to have pocket knives with a blade less than... 2 inches?
Anyway, those assholes still confiscated them the same.
Didn't call the cops or did anything, they just took them away and kept them.
Which to me is just theft, should have pressed charges really.
Add:
Speaking of stupidity on the way back at an intersection the lights were all burned out.
The people going north, us, and the people going south knew that burnt out stop lights means a four way stop.
The first few people going East to West understood it, but at some point people became retarded and started following the person in front of them.
Anyway, after about 10 or so cars went through I started pulling up and laid on my horn.
Finally, someone that knew what to do, going East to West/South, stopped and waited their turn.
Christ, it's ******** sad, these people should start dying but the odds are, they'll end up killing someone following the rules.
For a while I was straining my left middle finger.
At our left turn some dumbass b***h on a bicycle was going on the crosswalk when we had a left turn light.
I double checked the light post and I see a hand signaling, "do not cross you ********!" But still, she went really slow across the road.
If I was up there and she was in front of me I would have laid on the horn and told her what for.

Speaking of, Phoenix Light Rail was a ******** stupid idea. They put a street-level commuter train in downtown of the RED-LIGHT-RUNNING CAPITOL OF THE USA.

Makes me glad I already own the folding knives I want. Better get yours before the law shuts down the companies that make their livelihood building them.
I even managed to get a Mexican switchblade some years ago. It makes a nice letter opener. Not something I would ever take into a fight, though. Way too flimsy to be effective in real combat.
