Personality: Jethro is a fun-loving lion who's always looking for the next great adventure. He vastly enjoys exploring, whether it be by himself or, much preferably, in the company of good friends. As far as he’s concerned, the depths of a new cave beats any sunning rock or nap-granted dream out there. Of course, this promotes a bit of restlessness within the young-at-heart male every now and again, as new places to check out are scarce at best in a land he’s grown so fond of exploring. Still, even the smallest of finds can sustain the want for adventure in the lion. Small but strange bugs, if nothing else is to be found.
Jethro is good at making due.
This adventurous spirit gives him a natural leadership quality. He likes to be the one in charge and would sooner bring the whole cause crashing to the ground than follow the rule of someone he doesn’t feel worthy of the position. Luckily, he doesn’t usually find people unworthy. He’s not so into leading that it creates a ton of conflict. It’s more of the kind of thing where if no leader is present in a situation, and one is needed, he’ll gladly step into the roll. He also likes to lead the conversation when he can. As much as he enjoys it, Jethro understands that he lacks the ability to control a large group continuously. Best in small spurts, his governing urges come and go with the wind.
Perhaps his greatest strength, and biggest flaw, is the fact that he has a great hero complex. He often gets himself into trouble after protecting someone else. But he doesn’t mind, so long as the ones he cares about aren’t hurt, or their situation made worse by his presence.
When it comes to friends, Jethro prefers those who mesh with his own personality. Though some say opposites attract, Jethro just isn’t a fan of the philosophy. Then again, not many really believe it to be a good thing at face value. That’s what makes the magnetic connection of two very different beings such a special relationship. (A concept Jethro remains oblivious of.) The gray lion loves out-going, friendly people with similar interests, along with those who grasp the simple concept of wit. He isn’t fond of social gatherings, or those who leap at the chance to call one another friend without getting to know each other first. When faced with large groups of lion, particularly male lions, Jethro often hides away or keeps quiet until approached. It is the only time where he can be seen as reserved. In one-on-one or small congregations he’s all about the conversation. He loves hearing stories and participating in active debates. Indeed, Jethro likes intelligent lions more than anything else. That’s not to say he’ll completely snub beasts who aren’t like him, of course. He’s nice enough to try and get to know everyone.
So long as it’s not all at once.
He’s much more open in notions of love than in friendship. Jethro is a firm believer in love at first sight and the idea that true love is the strongest thing in the world. (Yes, Cajanic’s bleeding heart has dripped all over Jethro and made him a hopeless romantic as well.) His match doesn’t have to be anything like him, so long as their feelings for each other are real. It’s the only time where that aforementioned notion of ‘opposites attracting’ really shines in his mind. How he fails to apply it to all aspects of meeting others is anyone’s guess.
Of course, sometimes Jethro can be a bit too quick to think it’s love.
Speaking of love, Jethro loves kids. And not in an “I’m going to eat them when your back is turned” kind of way. He wants to have, in his words, “a ton of ‘em” with the one who becomes his mate. (Or mates, if true love eludes him the first time around.) Whatever the case, he wants to make sure his genes make it to the pool, future generations of Jethros secure.
Sadly, Jethro swims like a brick, and is afflicted with a terrible trepidation for deep water. No, he isn’t afraid of rain. The dark furred creature just doesn’t like massive bodies of water, such as lakes or large ponds. Hell, even suspiciously deep puddles give him the willies. Perhaps a bit cliché, a cat being afraid of water, but what can you do? When you’re afraid, you’re afraid. Pre-conceived notions be damned. He also isn’t fond of the idea of anything bad happening to any of his friends, willing to fight off anyone who comes his way to protect them.
Health: Despite spending a good portion of his time getting himself into trouble, Jethro is almost always is good health. When he is sick, though. He makes it quite clear. The somewhat child-like lion is horrible with colds and such; miserable and willing to make everyone around him suffer too. Luckily he's never been seriously sick. He would probably have his friends light candles and pray for his health or something. As a hunter, Jethro has always been able to manage. He catches enough food to produce a healthy weight, his body finely tuned and well built for the life of a loner. That’s not to say he doesn’t miss meals every now and again, but on the whole he does well for himself.
Intelligence: Jethro is a fairly bright lion. He doesn't often show it though, unless he needs to take the lead in a situation. The male likes to just hang out with people and not have them think he's some kind of stuck up creep just because he has a heightened diction or quick-to-bite sarcasm.
Talents: When it comes to talents, Jethro doesn’t have any that stand out. Unless you consider finding a new place to explore or a sheer inability to understand the emotions of those around him when it’s truly important talents.

Personality: Stolen from his home, Bavu finds himself rather conflicted. He doesn't understand why his mother had been able to save the others, but allowed him to be taken away into a strange place. Outside of that, Bavu is a reckless sort with a strong desire to protect his own. He doesn't make friends easily, constantly weary that something bad might again befall him. Though nervous at times and on-edge most constantly, he is also a rather skilled hunter and fighter, his body seemingly designed for such things. Fast and cunning, he knows how to get things done.
As he grew, his skills as a warrior only improved. He's no longer intimidated by the members of his pride, willing to stand and fight against anyone who thinks they're strong enough to take him. Indeed, he has become a large, strong leopon with the same need to protect others as before, only now it's less about friends and more about simply doing what's right for the pride. His confusion over his mother has become less important to him, the large animal finally deciding that if she didn't want him than he didn't need to care about her.
Now he has no interest of ever seeing her again.

Personality: Jeraha is an a*****e. Though not without good reason, as indicated through his very tough past. Along with being an a*****e, Jeraha is also a very gloomy guy. He knows he's not a good lion and sometimes it can really eat at him. Most of the time he absolutely loathes himself, though should anyone happen upon him he'd be quick to tell them he's perfectly content in his jack-a**-dom. Complicated? Perhaps. But no one said living was simple. When he's not hating himself and everyone around him, he's busy playing the secret hero.
Yes, you read right.
Jeraha is inflicted with a massive hero's complex. Probably because he felt so helpless with what happened to his siblings and his mother so long ago. If he sees someone in trouble, he has to help them. It doesn't matter if they know it's him (he would prefer them not finding out) he just has to make sure they get out of trouble. Most of the time it means doing things in a round-about manner that might get him hurt. This complex comes in particularly strong whenever it happens to be a female in trouble. If someone is picking on a girl when he's around, they had better head to the hills and fast. He's not above killing a bad guy to save the life of a good guy.

Personality: Poor Ashiki doesn't have a lot in terms of strength within him. The name "cowardly lion" seems a very adequate way to sum up the small creature's personality. With a small body and no physical capabilities to write home about, he doesn’t like to get himself into sticky situations. And when he does, he's quick to try and run away before things get too out of hand. No, he's not one of those lions who dwells on looking stupid or weak. At least, not until he's alone. In reality, he's very much that kind of lion. He dreams about being stronger.
Which happens to have a lot to do with why he likes dreams so much. When he's asleep, he can be anything he wants. The greatest lion in the world- the greatest lion in another world: it's all open to him. Such a release is sleep that he spends a lot of time throughout the day napping. Maybe his parents find it weird, but he can't help himself. Sleep is his only real vacation from the hassles of being alive.
Having a cub has helped him grow up a lot. He's still a sweet, soft soul, but he's not so worried about never being strong. Having a child is something that takes strength, right?

Personality: This is Mito. He's a very large, very cuddly lion who has a very laid-back outlook on life. A breath away from true-blue hippy, no doubt about it. He loves looking up at the sky as the clouds slowly shift past. This male is of a very slow breed. He doesn't like to rush and would much rather spend his day napping under the welcoming sun than roam around looking for the next great adventure.
He's not very strong, but only because he never trained himself to fight. Why work on something that would only hurt other animals? Though, when forced into a confrontation, his large size often helps him more than anything else. Sitting on threats is not above him, as long as it keeps anyone -himself included- from getting into trouble. This pension to avoid harming others also carries on into his hunting. The fluffy animal really hates that he was born a carnivore. If it wasn't for the fact that he simply can't survive off non-meat foods, he wouldn't hunt at all.
His dreamy outlook on life makes him rather silly, and he's not afraid to humiliate himself to get a laugh, or even a smile. Why not? It's fun to see other people happy. So long as he doesn't have to waste -too- much energy doing it, of course.
As far as love goes, he can be pretty casual about it. Having a fling is not something he puts beneath him, should he find a willing partner. A mate would be nice, but he isn't desperately seeking one out. Why not enjoy things while he can? Should cubs come into the picture, he wouldn't be one to stick around. Perhaps his greatest flaw, the large animal just isn't ready for a family.... or so he thinks. Meeting the right female might change that for him.

Personality: Sinasina is a sad creature whose mother abandoned her when she young. You'd never guess it from looking at her, though- as she always acts like she's the happiest creature on the planet. Too happy, in fact. To put it in the words of a human: she's a floozy.
to feel whole, she'll do it with just about anyone. No questions asked. So if you're looking for a fling, you've come to the right lady. Though a creature of loose morals, she's a very nice, caring leopard. She won't pass up a chance to comfort someone if needed.
Despite being so kind, the thought only carries towards adults. Sinasina is not a cub leopard, finding them nothing more than pests that need to grow up quickly. Nothing pleases her more than not meeting up with them. Eventually, though, she will have a family with that special someone and learn to love just one male. Just... it isn't yet.

Personality: Vuvi is a diva.
Snobby, perpetually unhappy and incredibly vain, this snake has a knack for picking faults out in other creatures and using them against said creature even if there's really no reason to or the perceived slights are very minimal. Fur color she doesn't really like that much. A greeting she didn't agree with. No one, it seems, is good enough for her to treat with respect.
She also likes to use her friend Jeraha as a threat. Because he is a large, powerful lion she usually tells others that she will squeal their misdeeds to him and have him come and pay them back for upsetting her. Most of the time, this doesn't happen, but that doesn't stop her from always throwing Jeraha into the middle of her own battles.
