The medium-sized Juvenile had wandered away...she knew that she had, and that it was bad, but she did not care, could not bring herself to care. With a wistful sigh, she gazed at the darkening horizon, a smirk slowly spreading across her maw. There was one there...one with blood in the shadows of her passing. She had not caused the blood, but there was blood nonetheless...lurking, blood that mingled with precious life. Ah! Ah! Here she came, riding like a white angel on the grasses of the Savannah! Rumbling low in her throat, the black and violet lass came padding to meet her, an eerie calm in her dark eyes.

H'ray'ii had not expected trouble. She had not found it yet in her wanderings, so why should it come to her now? She had no idea what lands she was in, that these were demon lands she was on the fringes on, a place not to be trespassed...even when she saw the strange cub, she did not flinch, instead, she was curious...as to why the little one was so directly approaching her...and so she stopped, waited, though perhaps it was a decision she would regret later.

"Hello, pretty..." Kifatamu crooned, stopping just in front of the female, meeting her gaze boldly. "What are you doing in the land of the dark? You should not be here...is there not enough shadow behind you to satisfy your want?" Slowly, achingly slowly, she cocked head to one side, a disconcerting grin making its way across her features.

Well...all right, that was odd. Swallowing, she mustered a smile, "Shadow? There's not shadow behind me. Should I not be here? Is this...is this your pridelands? Do you live here, little one?" Surely such a small child would be no trouble to her, mayhap the juvenile had lost her way and was simply...confused, surely. The babekin seemed off in the head...

"Is my home, yes." Kifa said quickly, dismissing that, for it was not interesting, not remotely. She wanted to see the pretty lady squirm. "Not your home...you have left your home and heart with someone else...but lady, you should mayhap not have left it, its keeping is not secure, not secure...I can see blood with these eyes..." She whispered hoarsely, crouching down low, her strange eyes glittering from her place next to the ground, ground still warm from the sunlight.

Gods, but the child was morbid...what was this talk of blood. "Why can you...see blood?" Glancing down at her paws, she investigated pristine fur for traces, perhaps, of her kill of before, her hunt, but nothing was there. Nervous now, she turned her eyes back to Kifa. "What...do you speak of...do you..." Surely it was impossible, "Do you know Adhabu?" It was ever so quiet, almost worried now.

Kifa shook her head, "I do not know the keeper. He kept you, he kept bits of you...inside bits, soul bits...should not have left, you will lose those bits, pretty lady." She smiled sweetly, something seeming not entirely there about her. "Blood in your passing, blood in your wake...he'll be there no more..." The last bit sing-songed.

"Don't be silly!" She tried to rush away the nervous fear she could feel running down her spine, "Adhabu can take care of himself...he'll be all right...I know he will. He's strong..." it was, however, more to console herself now. Just what could this child sense that she could not?

"Oh silly silly..." Kifa cooed, laughter trilling from her tiny mouth, "He gave life...many lives...but his blood will stain him soon. Strong even, cannot always live. Stronger kill, sweeter kill...beautiful death and beautiful blood...crimson stains brown...such lovely woody colors..." Her tone was almost dreamy, and she flopped then, over onto her back, wiggling paws in the air. Death was so lovely a thing, even enshrouded in mist as she saw it.

"No!" It was almost a shout this time, ears laying back against pale fur. "You...you're just a silly child, do you hear!? Adhabu is perfectly all right! He's with pride and family and you're trying to scare me!" She noted the cub had not once mentioned the other's name. She didn't know...she was just...yes...playing a very mean prank. Creepy brat of a girl.

There was an answering giggle. "You are a very silly-silly creature...but he left you a gift...a gift you know...pretty gift...little gifts...you'll meet the gifts...promise you will. But will they be enough? Are gifts token for his passing? Such a pretty picture I see...there is crimson life-liquid everywhere...it is fun...fun to be had..." A heavy sigh, "Ah, I wish I could see for true...true-seeing is more fun..."

"Gifts...?" Now the youngster was speaking nonsense. However, H'ray'ii could not shake the chill that had settled upon her. "Now...listen...you're not lost or anything are you? I mean...if you're not...I need...I need to go." To do something, anything, to banish such terrible horrible thoughts from her mind. They could not be so. And soon. Very soon! She'd visit Adhabu.

"Not lost." She replied, shrugging one shoulder from her upside-down position. "Kifa is not lost at all...she knew you were coming, you see...I did, I did!" She crowed, laughing again, "And you do indeed squirm, pretty, when I tell you my seeing! I knew you would! I knew!"

"Well if you're not lost..." Shoving down the lump in her throat, the lioness bravely continued, "Then I shall say goodbye." And with that, she turned and fled. No, she had no wish to see this demon-child again. Why on earth would the world birth a child so vicious-minded? What sort of beast spawned her?

Kifa giggled to herself, rolling over, rump wiggling as her tail swayed to and fro. Ah, the pretty was leaving...but it was no worry. The message had made her fret, made her wriggle with worry....a grief too-soon...too-soon. It was precious, her private victory, and in a way, well...she'd chased the intruder from their borders...had she not? A job well done indeed.
