All because of THIS..
"For the first time, the California State University will accept no new students for its spring semester, CSU announced today."

I WAS PLANNING TO TRANSFER in the spring. And now I can't...
Its a great dent in my plans. This pushes me from getting my bachelor and masters sooner.. bastards. As if things weren't crappy enough, first classes get cut now admission.
And some asses dare to commend the Uni for this with crap like, "they should accept anyone who is willing to pay his own way without handouts or government loans."
I'm SORRY if I can't suddenly make $20,000... I guess I should rob a few banks eh?! >_>

Well, CSU is a State University. No private funding. Mainly government. Cali's economy is probably the worst in the country at the moment, correct? It's not surprising that they'd cut the costs for classes and lay off faculty, but not letting people in that give them money?

Thanks to the cutbacks and firings of teachers, they no longer have room.
No room = no more admission.
They better be cutting the paychecks for the supes too then. -_-
Buut, I do see the silver lining. However blurred it may be.
I can get a job and earn some extra money for State now. >_> And take art classes. -sigh-

My high school Gov. and Eco. teacher provided us with information on a sound plan that would make college free to all who wanted to attend. I really thought it was rather genius, but of course, it involves taking money from the oil business, so our government wouldn't want anything to do with it I'm sure.
Since when did the land of the free stop counting for s**t >_<
Damn, that means not only are several faculty member going to be jobless now, it's preventing the college going youth of America to further their education which is going to cause an even higher unemployment. . . . UGH!
