File name RAEG!

So today i decided to organize my MP3 player. Its actually a smart little thing for how cheap it is. Will organize by title/genre/artist. But what has made me RAEG is how i finally am going through to clear out the titles that i can't even read like when somebody puts "Metallica - Metallica - Whatever album- song". And i come to find just a few short of THREE HUNDRED DAMN SONGS have the artist name in front of them. I got to change um all D: . I get my songs from limewire and such, but damn people would you at least put the artist name SECOND?!? RARGH. Okay. I am done ranting lol

I get the same problem sometimes. Easiest way for me; open the file in iTunes, then change it's filename there.

Also, get rid of Limewire, and replace it with Frostwire. It works the same way as Limewire, but it's faster, more reliable, doesn't slow your computer down like Limewire does, and is less likely to dump a virus on your computer. And all of the songs you've downloaded through Limewire should show up in Frostwire.

artist-album-song allows a folder sorted by name to sort by artist and album, so all the Metallica songs are together, and all the Garage Inc. songs are together, too. If you put the song name first, Carol of the Bells will be next to Caramelldansen.

The vast majority of my songs already have the artist name in the properties, so i can just sort by those, the thirty or so that didn't i added the names.

1. Limewire sucks. It gives you malware.

2. You can download songs directly off of websites. There are places you can raid to find MP3s without all the malware.

3. That is illegal which is why I can't name any sites. Gaia mods will swarm over this s**t if someone breaks TOS.

4. Artist - Song is sufficient for me. I don't care what album it's from. When I listen to music on Windows Media Player I have it shuffle anyway so it picks any song at random.

5. What pisses me off is our car has an MP3 CD player. Half the time if I forget the title of a song and want to see what it is the player will say unknown artist/band/track so I have no idea what the hell it is or who sings it.

As nice as it is to share you are sharing an illegal site which is against TOS. I suggest you remove it. The mods could ban you for this or even ban the guild itself. Another guild I was in was banned because some a** hat was stashing porn in one of the forums. Illegal MP3s probably aren't as bad as porn, but I still wouldn't put it beyond the mods to take action.

Another guild I was in was banned because some a** hat was stashing porn in one of the forums. Illegal MP3s probably aren't as bad as porn, but I still wouldn't put it beyond the mods to take action.

Torrents=superior
I use uTorrent for a client, and Isohunt as my main search engine. Just sort by number of seeds, and look for the most relevant.


I just use Windows Media Player as my syncing software. It's the easiest thing for me.
