Love it was an interesting thing and for Umbia, well she had wondered about it for a while, Izulu had left her pregnant with two boys who were growing up so quickly and would be soon adults. She had never told anyone how she wandered to the borders every day in hope of seeing him return. He had even told her not to wait for him.

She let out a soft sigh and headed towards her parents den. She wanted to talk to her father, he always knew what to do and what to say. He seemed to be growing wiser with age and she hoped that maybe one day she would too.

"Father?"

She called out as she reached the den hoping that he would be able to come out to greet her.

He had been enjoying his sleep ever so much and really didn't want awakening when he did but he heard one of his daughters voice and knowing that only one of the litter of four was left in the lands he raised himself up and padded out to meet her.

"Umbia is something wrong?"

He studied her face carefully trying to work out what it was that seemed to trouble her so. Surely there wasn't anything really wrong, she seemed happy with her small family.

Quote:
As her father came from the den she ran towards him and buried her head in his mane.

"Oh I don't know what to do...."

She was at a loss for words, now she was here she wasn't exactly sure how she should go about explaining her problem. Was she just seriously love sick? Was that what it was? Oh but it had been so long. Instead she just said,

"He's not coming father... he's not coming."

Quote:
Umbia had never been one to show him much affection when they were little and so this show of affection confused Harabu slightly but her words didn't surprise him.

Izulu.

If he ever saw that lion again there would be hell to pay leaving his daughter pregnant as he did. He hadn't returned either not once and now here was his daughter a mess in front of him.

"I know Umbia but you have your children and they are so beautiful." She had a gift that was more important, two wonderful sons.

Quote:
Her children, were they gifts or curses? One had so much blue on him he constantly reminded her of Izulu it was as if she was looking into a mirror image of him. She let out a soft sigh, she had to be grateful for them though they had brought laughter back into her life.

"Why do I feel like this after so long? Why have the feelings not gone?" It was a desperate question and she needed an answer, she had to know why she was stuck feeling like this.

Quote:
Harabu let out a soft sigh much like his daughters and then looked up at the sky.

"Love is a strange thing and maybe the reason you haven't moved on is because everything here reminds you of him. The places you visited, there is just so much. The boys can hunt themselves so why don't you go, get away for a while. It might help." It was the only suggestion he could come up with.

"We can keep an eye on the boys. After all what else are grandparents for?"

Quote:
Get away? Just for a little while after all this was indeed home.

"Maybe you are right maybe that is what I need." The boys were old enough to look after themselves so it's not like she was abandoning them. She just needed some good old breathing space.

Quote:
Harabu smiled at his daughter.

"Why don't you go and see Ihlo before you decide, she might be able to help you out as well. Though you go and have some fun, we shall keep an eye on the boys to make sure they stay out of trouble." He hoped a bit of a change would do her good, he really did. He also hoped she wouldn't run in to the blue lion either.

Quote:
Umbia smiled and walked over to her father, nuzzling him before turning away.

"Thank You. I shall go and see Ihlo and then I may indeed leave and get some time to myself. See you at some point and give my love to mother!" She nodded before turning and leaving to find her half sister.

Quote:
Harabu smiled as he watched his daughter leave, he wished her the best he really did, after all what more could he do? He hoped that she would be safe and that she would be happy.

"Good bye Umbia."

He would talk to Amani and tell her of their daughters plan and he hoped, no he even prayed that something would happen to make her forget that male.
