DESCRIPTION: This is one of the battle arenas. In this area, there are no obsticles, no traps, and nothing that could hinder the battle. New fighters who want to get a feel for the battle system are strongly reccomended to fight here to start with.

Mission: Chapter 1-1: Recon

Isaac, Amy, and Captain Davis were waiting for the new batch of recruits to show up.

"Ugh. They're late," Isaac moaned.

"Quit whining!" Amy scolded, "You don't want to put off the new recruits before they even start, do you?"

"Okay, Mom," Isaac said, "Got it. I'll be a good boy,"

"Ah!" Davis said, looking forward, "Here they come now!"

Isaac waved to the new recruits, "So, you're supposed to be the new guys, huh?" he asked.

Amy bowed and extended a hand, "I'm Amy Orden. This dumb oaf behind me is Isaac,"

"Hey!" Isaac snapped.

"Looks like we both have a, er, 'dumb oaf' in our units then," Arkken said, walking up to the trio.

Louis made a face at the back of Arkken's head.

"Sorry we're late," said Mirana. "We had to help Lou here out of a bit of a situation."

"Hey, I could have handled it," Lou said, shaking his head.

"You were about be beaten to a bloody pulp!" Arkken said, annoyed. "If we hadn't showed up when we did-"

"Bah, I was winning!" Lou said.

Sighing, Arkken turned back to the other trio. "Anyway, my name is Arkken Casius."

"I'm Mirana," she said, smiling. "Mirana Patani."

"And I'm Louis!" Louis said.

Isaac noticed the sword at Mirana's belt. He smiled back at her.

Amy noted the excited look in Isaac's eyes. Great. She hoped Mirana could handle herself against him, because she knew Isaac was going to make this a competition.

"Anyways, welcome to the Surreal Guardians," Davis said, "You happened to join at the right time. See, we're getting a scope of this area. Now, You three look like you're capable in a fight. But I need to remind everyone here of the basics. This area is the Ghazac Plains. Not too many ferocious monsters live here. So this is a good spot for training."

"Yes, sir," Isaac said.

"So. Let's go over- huh?" Davis started.

A small pack of wild animals suddenly approached them.

"Ah! perfect!" Davis said, "How about we get some lessons in real combat? Don't worry, I'm a seasoned fighter. Anything wrong happens, I'll be here to bail you out."

"Alright!" Isaac said happily, "I thought this'd be some boring excercise!"

"Anyone get's unjured," Amy said, "I'll be there to heal you."

"Now then, let's do this!" Isaac said, unsheathing the... wooden sword.

"Don't worry," Davis said, "I'll be here to help out and give you tips."

(Davis: Alright, everyone. I'm here to give you instructions on fighting. But first, here's a look at the battle screen. See, me, Isaac, and Mirana are the only ones in the front row. Everyone else is in the back. The Wolves are in the front row. The numbers next to your name is your HP/MP numbers.

Okay, Let's start with some basic fighting. Isaac, Amy, stand down for a second. Let's see the new guy's power. Alright. This round is all yours.
Remember, Arkken, you have no basic attack. You have the skill Mana Burst. Weak, but costs no MP.

For the rest of you, attack. I don't care if you use skills nor not. Just go.)

Defence die does the same for defence. So. After the die is rolled, I'll go back and edit the post and calculate damage smile )

((Davis: Ha! That's what you get when you attack me! See, what happened was a Deflection. Sometimes, the total defence of a person will be greated than the total attack. When that happens, the difference in damage will be reflected on the attacker. That's called a deflection!

Okay. Isaac and Mirana, I know you do are swordfighters, so I want you to go ahead and use some skills. I know you have both Reinforced Blow and Defender's shield. Use them. Amy, you should head someone.

The rest of you, do as you please. You now have a basic understanding of fighting. Let's clean the rest of these guys up. Come on!))
